He takes it back 33 yards and USC has the ball at its own 35-yard line with 5:37 remaining. USC leads 30-17 and that should put it away.

Broken play leads to Purdue score
09/13/2025 07:48:01 PMPurdue tried a trick play throwing the ball out to a wide receiver who threw it back to quarterback Ryan Browne. USC linebacker Eric Gentry was in place to make the interception but the ball went through his hands, bounced, was recovered by Brown, who took it 26 yards into the endzone for a score. It will count as a rushing touchdown for Purdue and it’s now 20-10 USC with 8:47 remaining in the third quarter.
Another field goal for USC
09/13/2025 07:38:06 PMUSC moved the ball downfield thanks in large part to a 42-yard pass from Maiava to Lane on a 3rd-and-9 snap. But the Trojans couldn’t punch it in and settled for a 37-yard field goal from Sayeri. It’s 20-3 USC with 12:15 remaining in the third quarter.

USC goes the long way

Purdue gets 3

USC was flagged for leaping over the punt shield on a 4th down and for another hands to the face penalty. Purdue connects on a 36-yard field goal to make the score 10-3 with 10:49 remaining in the second quarter.
Maiava into the endzone

USC driving to close the first
09/13/2025 06:18:17 PMUSC will open the second quarter with the ball at the Purdue three-yard line and facing 2nd and goal. Quarterback Jayden Maiava finished the first quarter 6-of-7 passing for 147 yards.
Bishop comes up big again
09/13/2025 06:08:18 PMPurdue drove nearly the length of the field but the drive ends with Bishop Fitzgerald stepping in front of a receiver in the back of the endzone to grab an interception. It’s Fitzgerald’s second of the season and gives the Trojans the ball at their 20-yard line with 3:56 remaining in the first quarter.

USC goes up 3-0 with 7:39 remaining in the first quarter. USC had the ball first-and-goal from the 7-yard line and couldn’t get it into the endzone.
Trojans force the game’s first punt
09/13/2025 05:51:23 PMThe USC defense bent a bit but got a big sack from safety Christian Pierce on a blitz to help force a Purdue punt. The Trojans will start their opening drive at their own 9-yard line with 11:39 remaining in the first quarter.
