Texas' No. 1 2026 prospect Kevin Ford on visit to USC

One of the top overall prospects in the class of 2026 is on campus at USC today. Duncanville (Tex.) EDGE Kevin Ford confirmed on social media he is in attendance at the Trojans junior day event this afternoon.

Ford ranks as the No. 28 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also tabbed in as the No. 2 edge rusher and the No. 1 player in the state of Texas in the 2026 class.

For USC fans not familiar, Duncanville is one of the top programs in the nation and is home to some of the top prospects in every cycle.

Ford, 6-foot-4, 230-pounds, has not yet reported a USC offer, but one would be expected to come out of this visit.

Both Shaun Nua and Eric Henderson will likely be very active in this recruitment should USC be looking to make an impression. Ford is without a doubt in comfortable range to be a five-star prospect down the line. I would expect for head coach Lincoln Riley also to make his presence known to Ford and his family.

On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine for Ford

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has the Florida State Seminoles as the favorite to land a commitment from Griffin at 55.8%. Georgia comes in at second place with 25.6% odds. 

RPM was released to the public in December. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college. 

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

Griffin does not yet have a public NIL valuation. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.
