The USC Trojans fell out of both the AP and Coaches polls this week following a 34-24 loss to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.

USC didn’t plummet out of every voter’s ranking as the Trojans are the first team among others receiving votes in the AP poll and the second team in the Coaches poll. It’s tough to find something to complain about coming off a 10-point loss, but USC is one spot in the AP poll and four spots in the Coaches poll behind a Michigan team that the Trojans just dominated a week ago.

Either way, USC has work to do to get back into the rankings and won’t be able to do much this week as the Trojans are on a bye. The Trojans’ lone ranked opponent remaining is No. 6 Oregon. USC will visit the Ducks on Nov. 22.
