On Thursday morning, USC sent out an offer to the top ranked athlete in the 2025 class, Monroe (NC) four-star Jordan Young.

Young is the No. 23 overall prospect and No. 1 athlete in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also ranked as the No. 2 player in North Carolina.

On3 is higher on Young than the rest of the industry, ranking him as the No. 15 overall prospect in the country. On3 ranks Simons as the No. 2 prospect in North Carolina.

The offer sheet for Young

Along with USC, he holds offers from South Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, Notre Dame, Alabama, Penn State, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Wake Forest, Tennessee, Florida State, and Ole Miss.

Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM)

The 6-foot, 170-pound athlete holds 13 total offers. According to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, South Carolina currently holds the lead at 22.8%.

To this point, Young has primarily kept his recruitment to the east coast. He has visited South Carolina, North Carolina, Duke, NC State, and Notre Dame.

RPM was released to the public in December 2021. The On3 engineering group teamed up with Spiny.ai to create the industry’s first algorithm and machine learning-based product to predict where athletes will attend college.

It factors in machine learning, social sentiment, visits and historical trends. However, expert predictions are still a big piece of the RPM equation.

On3 NIL Valuations

Young has an On3 NIL Valuation of $116K. The On3 NIL Valuation is the industry’s leading index that sets high school and college athletes’ projected annual value (PAV). The NIL valuation does not act as a tracker of the value of NIL deals an athlete has completed to date. It rather signifies an athlete’s value at a certain moment in time.

USC’s 2025 class

USC holds one commitment in the 2025 class in Oxford (Ala.) Thompson four-star safety Anquon Fegans.

Fegans is the No. 17 overall prospect and No. 2 safety in the 2025 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He is also ranked as the No. 4 player in Alabama.

USC is not officially ranked in the 2025 Industry Ranking Football Team Recruiting Rankings due to lack of commitments, but already has the third highest recruiting score with just Fegans in the class. The Trojans are behind only Georgia and Alabama.

USC currently sits at No. 1 in the 2025 class in average prospect rating with an average of 95.01. Coming in at second place is Ohio State with an average rating of 94.05.
