USC is coming off of their first significant official visit recruiting weekend of the summer, which saw a handful of elite talent make their way to Los Angeles. It is early but WeAreSC is hearing great things coming out of the weekend in regards to the Trojans making lasting impressions on several key targets, one of which is Myles Davis.

The On300 star is the No. 219 overall prospect, No. 21 safety in the 2024 cycle, and is also the No. 46 prospect in Texas, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major media companies.

This visit was the first to USC for the Converse (Texas) Judson four-star safety, who brought several members of his family along with him.

Davis spoke with WeAreSC immediately following the visit to give his thoughts on his experience throughout the weekend. It is safe to say the Trojans made a big impact on the first time visitor according to the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Trojans are now the favorite to land him.

After updates from across the recruiting industry, USC now holds a 88.6 percent chance of securing Davis’ commitment.

Up next for Davis

Davis is currently scheduled to take an official visit to Texas on June 16.

Davis has visited Texas on two previous occasions, both coming earlier in 2023.

Also coming up will be a return visit to USC, something Davis says he wants to take before making a commitment decision. That visit is likely to come later this summer.

More on the current class for USC

To date, the three commitments in the 2024 class are Los Angeles (Cal.) Sierra Canyon four-star Xavier Jordan, Lake Oswego (Ore.) Lakeridge four-star tight end Joey Olsen, and McKinney (Tex.) three-star running back Bryan Jackson

Also, as of right now, there are 20 prospects in the class of 2024 who are currently favored in the On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine to land with USC. A good portion of them visited USC this spring and/or are planning official visits in the summer.

The Trojans are currently set to host 32 official visitors in the month of June, primarily scheduled for two major visit weekends. The staff will hope for similar success as last cycle when they landed more than 10 of their June official visitors.

USC finished the 2023 class ranked inside the top-10 and Lincoln Riley and staff have started off on the right foot with an opportunity to repeat that feat in the 2024 class.
