USC Trojans wide receiver Makai Lemon was named to the 2025 Football Writers Association of America All-America First Team on Thursday. With that honor, Lemon is officially a unanimous First-Team All-American for the 2025 season.

There are five publications that produce consensus and unanimous All-Americans. Those are the Associated Press, Football Writers Association of America, American Football Coaches Association, Waler Camp Football Foundation and The Sporting News. Making three of the five designated a player as a consensus All-American. Making all five means he is unanimous.

Lemon becomes the first unanimous All-American for the Trojans since quarterback Caleb Williams and defensive end Tuli Tuipulotu earned the designation following the 2022 season. He’s the first USC wide receiver to earn it since Marqise Lee in 2021.

He was named the Polynesian College Football Player of the Year. And Lemon also became the first USC Trojan to win the Biletnikoff Award since Lee did so with that 2012 season. In addition to those five teams, Lemon was also named a First-Team All-American by The Athletic, CBS, PFF, Sports Illustrated and USA Today. He and Jeremiah Smith of Ohio State were the only two receivers named to all nine of those teams.

Safety Bishop Fitzgerald was also named to the First Team of the FWAA All-America Team. That makes the Trojan safety a consensus All-American as he was also named First Team by the AP and WCFF. He’s USC’s first FWAA All-American defensive back since Taylor Mays in 2008.

Lemon and Fitzgerald will earn plaques on USC’s All-American Walk on the ramp going from the John McKay Center to the practice field. USC now has 179 First Team All-Americans in its history.
