Transfer Portal News Of The Day December 20 - Evan Stewart Enters Portal

Western Kentucky defensive back Upton Stout is expected to withdraw from the NCAA transfer portal, the program announced. He was one of the top available players in the portal and recently took a visit to Michigan.

Stout is currently the No. 12 available transfer in the portal, according to the On3 Industry Transfer Ranking. He appeared in seven games this past year for WKU in his second season after transferring from North Texas. In that time, he totaled 29 tackles along with 1.5 tackles for loss, half a sack and an interception.

In 2022, Stout had a career year with 44 tackles and four interceptions over 14 games. He received interest from Michigan and USC while in the portal, but will now head back to Western Kentucky for one more season.

Upton Stout played high school football at North Shore (TX) High School, where he was a three-star prospect. He was the No. 1,748 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies.
