Micah Gordon becomes Creighton's highest-ranked recruit ever
Point guard Micah Gordon, No. 30 in the SC Next 100, becomes the highest-ranked recruit to ever commit to Creighton.
We already have a more highly rated PG.Back in the day would be a key SHU target.
Jt is highly regarded, lets hope he says Seton Hall tomorrow.Hearing a NJ elite pg say “I always wanted to be a BigEast guard” was a gut punch.
I don’t agree that Javion Tyndale is better. Micah is better and I don’t think it’s close. I’ve spoken to some people that think he’s the best pg in his class. Was also told that we were in good position but he elevated another level (not sure I agree with this based on his final schools - all programs better than ours but not out of this world).
Regardless, until rules change landing a HS recruit is meaningless. Maybe they get lucky and retain him for year two and get some value but chances of that happening at less than 50% based on current transfer rates. Chances of him being their for Jr year (most productive seasons) are nearly non-existent.
Tyndale has exploded on the scene only in the last 3-4 months. He wasn't in anyone's Top 100 despite a solid Junior year at Montverde. He then averaged 22 points per game for UPlay in the EYBL this Spring which drew attention.Look at the schools involved with Tyndale and the schools involved with Gordon…
This is not because of ability but rather Tyndale was a late bloomer on the recruiting trail. If he waited out longer we probably lose him to a bigger school. Then again maybe not because he seemed to really want to be here but the bigger schools would of came without questionLook at the schools involved with Tyndale and the schools involved with Gordon…
I agree Micah is a better prospect. He's bigger stronger and more athletic but don't be surprised if Tyndale makes you forget about losing out on Micah. He's that good imo. He's played against better competition than Micah too and has excelled both on the high school and international stage. Part of the reason Micah left Plainfield for SPIRE Academy is to play against better competition. We got ourselves a good one!Hearing a NJ elite pg say “I always wanted to be a BigEast guard” was a gut punch.

If the bigger schools want him enough, we will know come next year because HS seniors get “stolen” or change commitments all the time now it seems in this NIL era. This is not because of ability but rather Tyndale was a late bloomer on the recruiting trail.
