Two Nova rotation guys didn’t play. Meaningless. RU made a late run. What players did Willard have on the floor ?

These games are just for the purpose of getting guys ready for the season openers. Nothing more. Also give the coach a better feel for who is ready to contribute.

Why coaches hate that results are publicized and rightly so. But hey, it’s content! Lol
These public exhibitions don’t mean anything but they are light years better for a team and program compared to than “secret closed door scrimmages”. Those are the ones where the coaches and other associated with the program “spin doctor” stuff to death.

As I recall, we allegedly had one good scrimmage last year followed by a bad one. And then got off to a tremendous start in the OOC.

As Lloyd always says, absent injury, the results of these games re meaningless.

I watched the second half and the Virginia Tech transfer, Gurdak scored at will against Suigo . He scored 19 pts. In the second half against him . It's only an exhibition game but Suigo might have some trouble adjusting to the American game and it appears he has difficulty with lateral movement.
Offensively he looked ok .

I just watched the entire game replay and did not see what you saw. Gurdak had a few nice one-on-one buckets against Suigo, but not at all “scoring at will.” Laughable. Most of Gurdaks scores were against guards or broken plays.

Suigo looked good and scored over Gurdak numerous times and anchored the defense in the post with 3 blocks. Look at the plus/minus it tells the story Suigo +7, Gurdak-6.

How are you guys able to watch two different teams play and know you’re looking at. It will take me 5 games to know who I’m looking at on Seton Hall.

It’s easy Suigo is the guy who is a foot taller than everyone lol. Devin Royal looked good too, real nose for the ball and a knack for scoring. Almost reminded me of Rhoden a little.

Nova will be long and huge at the 3, 4, 5 spots. When Kwame Evans (who sat out) plays, it will be 6’7, 6’10, and 7’3 for their frontline. Then they bring an additional 7’1 center off the bench.

Perkins looked tuned and ready.

Oof Madone. That’s a lot of height, maybe one of them will be a klutz and fall over

Opposing opinions could also be posted. I was responding to your comment about the RU center “scoring at will” against Suigo which in my view is not an accurate portrayal of the second half.

Furthermore, Kevin admitted in the postgame that he was running lineups that they never practice with and there were a handful miscommunications because of it, which obviously accounts for why RU (and Gurdak) got a handful of easy buckets off missed assignments etc. They weren’t one on one matchups where Gurdak offensively overpowered Suigo’s defense, as your comment alleged.
