Division I removes some restrictions on countable coaches in football - NCAA.org
The Division I Council on Tuesday approved a rule change adopted by the Football Bowl Subdivision and Football Championship Subdivision Oversight Committees to permit

Why wouldn’t they!?Just another way for the big money programs to leverage an advantage.
You should be able to figure that one out.Why wouldn’t they!?
Special teams have always been coached by position coaches. The online couch may coach long snappers, wr coach return men etc.Think it's a formality because teams have been ignoring this for a bit. How else would you explain RU not having a special teams assistant coach the last few years. Yet those units all practice and scrimmage.
Exactly why this is bad news. Up and coming recruiter at say Indiana now can be hoarded by a school like Ohio State which could double his salary. Perfect example is Shaw at Rutgers. He done an amazing job with RB at Rutgers. He is currently making $250k. What is stopping a Michigan from offering him $500k to be a second running back coach? You can’t blame the guy for taking it because of what it would mean for his family.Just another way for the big money programs to leverage an advantage.
Considering how many “analysts” and other roles Greg has added since his return, RU falls into that statement somewhat. The rich get richer.
Sort of. Generally there still is someone designing and implementing game plans not just coaching the individual spots.Special teams have always been coached by position coaches. The online couch may coach long snappers, wr coach return men etc.
That's exactly what it means.Does this also mean unlimited number of recruiters in the community?
Sure, why tf not?Does this also mean unlimited number of recruiters in the community?
Why should they be allowed to? They make the rules to fit their advantage. Not blaming them.. blaming everyone else for going along with it.Why wouldn’t they!?
But they shouldn't be allowed to make the rules that protect their advantage. It is basically a monopoly of the powerful programs at this point. Why is it tolerated? The rich get richer.
There's enough blame to go around. Why should they be allowed to? They make the rules to fit their advantage. Not blaming them.. blaming everyone else for going along with it.
It’s funny- I was thinking the same thing. Even in the thread about the $20 mil NIL.It’s funny reading some of these comments.
You guys realize we’re “rich” now, right?
It’s all relative. Obviously we aren’t Ohio State, but we aren’t Syracuse.
