There will be more fans from orher area mountain schools at the game than prep fans imo.
I think that can be said about a lot of games on Friday.

Prep has six losses this year. 3 were to the top on the conf. East Surry, Walkertown and Mt Airy. The other 3 came against the powerhouse 3a -4a schools in forsythe county. Robbinsville will win but prep won't be intimidated.
It was a 4 point loss. N.Stokes 10 WS Prep 6Wow. they lost to N.Stokes? By 20?
How bad did ES,Walkertoun and Mt.Airy beat Prep?
Oh and the most intimidating thing at Big Oaks is me. lol. Should be plenty of room on the preps side for me.
Friday, one really good basketball player can make an average team really good. West Forsyth, East Forsyth, Mt. Tabor, Reagan all have 100+. Usually 40-50 on varsity and 50+ on JV. Add in Davie county and North Davidson with those numbers also.Question #1 is how did they do it in basketball without feeder schools ?
Question # 2 how many players on most Forsyth Co. 4A varsity teams and how many players on the jv teams ?
Listen ive always pulled gor robbinsville. But if w
Perp went to east forsyth, west forsyth, reagan, mt tabor ect and got its best players robbinsville nor any other 1a would have a chance. If Prep was east forsyth this week the knights would get desroyed. But Prep isnt so knights by at least 4 tds. My point is, again, that they could be and thats total NCHSAA bs.
This is my thoughts, with all those players on say 4 of the 4A schools you will have several player that are good but don't think they get enough playing time. Just 2 from each of the Var. or JV teams can go to WSP and than can make a totally above average 1A school playing in small 1A knocking the other 1A & 1AA down to being 2nd place and below in the conference and dominating small 1A in the playoffs. With experenced players coming to WSP it wouldn't take but a year or so with good coaching to dominate 1A. Is that not a reasonable thought ?Friday, one really good basketball player can make an average team really good. West Forsyth, East Forsyth, Mt. Tabor, Reagan all have 100+. Just a reminder, there is Middle school BB in WSFCS. But no football, baseball or softball. There is a committee exploring cost of MS football now and I think it will happen in the next couple of years.
I agree.
You can be really good when you buy a team, just look at Bishop basketball.

When they get the MS then WSP can start pulling like a magnet from them. LOL
T
The only magnet high school in the WSFCS is Atkins.
My mistake, the only one in my mind is Atkins because it is strictly academic related. There you go Fridaynights, a 4AA high school in RJR is a magnet school. And Parkland a 4A high school. How has that worked out for them in football? They have been a cellar dwellers for this decade I believe. They have the same opportunities as WSP.
Could that be because they are in the city and East & West Forsyth alway has the better teams and with no boundries at all they chose to go to E & W Forsyth. That's all I have to say on the subject. Let it get back to the topic of WSP vs Robbinsville. No one ever wins this subject of magnet schools. Hope it gets settled by the NCHSAA before the non magnet 1A schools get walked on year in and year out !My mistake, the only one in my mind is Atkins because it is strictly academic related. First off I did not say anything about Atkins, Walkertown and Bishop. 2nd are you saying they want get any exposure at a 1A school. Do Atkins,WSP & Bishop make the Winston Salem Journal in basbetball ? LOL

More bs from you bk...how has Bishop "bought" a basketball team?
Now what does being in the city have to do with East & West Forsyth alway has the better teams . If you have no boundries the the students are going to where the winning programs are ! TerminarSomething wrong with the city?
You are the one that said " could that be because they are in the city".Now what does being in the city have to do with East & West Forsyth alway has the better teams . If you have no boundries the the students are going to where the winning programs are ! Terminado
The city schools are far older schools and E&W Forsyth were built in the early 70s .I remember Mount Airy beating Parkland in one of their playoff games when they won the state championship in 1968. They were both 3A then and there was no E or W Forsyth then. Terminado means , end or finished. That is all I have to say.You are the one that said " could that be because they are in the city".
I Only speak English, not sure what "Terminado" means.
BK did you think your thread about WSP vs Robbinsville was going to get 82 Replies & 1,969 ViewsShould be a good one.

I just remember Mount Airy beating West Forsyth a couple years in the early 70s .I believe they played 3 times and MA won 2 out of 3. I may be wrong. I hope some remembers how many times we played. I think the games were played there and it was said at that time the school was new.I guess being less than 10 years old it was new. I don't remember them coming here but do remember going down toward Clemmons for the game and compared to Mount Airy the school looked new.So my bad and lets let it get back to WSP vs Robbinsville. The first graduating class from West Forsyth was 1964, which means it opened in the fall of 1963. I do believe East Forsyth open one year prior to West Forsyth. Parkland opened in the fall of 1966. Also, Atkins opened in 2004 and I do believe Walkertown is 5 years olds. Now WSP is in an older building. It is in the original Atkins HS. Thats keeping stars away I'm sure.
