Not the best report card for Pat Hobbs. No worries, according to Pat the future of RU sports is so bright, we need to wear shades.

The next 12 months will be especially telling on the the future of the program, with expectations highest in years if not decades for football and men’s bball, and visibility on practice facility and RAC renovation status becoming clearer.
We had a few highlights though -- Men's basketball, women's soccer, we had a couple of good seasons in baseball.

I don't have access to read the article. In some sports we've been pathetic -- women's basketball, volleyball, football. Not sure how we perform in women's softball.

Facilities weren't there as we moved from the BE to the B10. Not sure how much of an excuse that became.

Unfortunately, our key sports went in the tank, CVS stayed too long, and we had the Julie Herrmann debacle entering the Big 10. None of that helped us out.

First decade didn’t do much to help or change the reputation of Rutgers . I think the next 5 years we’ll be much closer to average across most of the board which would do a lot to change perspective. Still some programs and facilities are too far behind. We’re in a league where most schools are elite at least in 1-3 programs. We’re not even consistently top tier in any program except maybe women’s soccer. Mens Lax and wrestling has been knocking top tier status but seemingly have slid a little bit and the competition in our league in those sports is insane. You have to be a national championship contender to win the league.
