Told yall about that Brinks Truck making it happen on it's third stop!No doubt that was the final piece that made him leave Virginia
For a university that doesn’t have a toilet bowl to piss in or a window to throw it out of, budgeting and economics become important.*****It’s the Mississippi State way. We can pinch a penny so hard it becomes 2-dimensional.
Yep. They would also be sporting decals on vehicles showcasing their donor level.Could you imagine if Old Mrs had the 2nd highest paid baseball coach?
They'd be smoking cigars as a banner was hung on the square.
BREAKING NEWS: Ole Miss increases Mike Bianco’s contract to $3 mil a year.
BOC will average a higher score per game than croomsCrooms made $800k. Ridiculous to spend 3x that much on intramurals
Well, I watched most of his games and I'm still waiting to see him coach. If you watched Croom coach you'd say paying him $800K was also ridiculous.
These edits are fantastic.Hey cocksuc(ker. did I say there was anything wrong with that? That is just shocking to see for baseball.
Speaking of that….its time for me to go find some big penis.
i'm pretty sure Vitello was and is the highest paid coach in the country. BOC is now the second highest paid.If that summary of salary and incentives is true, it far exceeds Tim Corbin who was the highest paid college baseball coach in the country. Not sure what UT is doing with Vitello, but they might redo his contract after seeing this. This now makes Brian O'Connor the highest paid coach in the country and it's not close.
He's likely very serious. When people have been told all their lives they should remain accustomed to living with modest means they tend to become flustered when there's a Cadillac in the driveway.Seriously?
Well I didn't even remotely imply that BOC left b/c someone was woke. The money had absolutely nothing to do with it. I read on a very reliable source (wink wink) he left UVA because the AD was "woke" **
$4,000 + season tickets, they've already sent word to everyone. That's an $800 increase from last yearJust wait to see how much an outfield lounge spot will cost
I mean nothing wrong with living modestly (and more people should do it), but there is also nothing wrong with paying for the best coach you can get. He's likely very serious. When people have been told all their lives they should remain accustomed to living with modest means they tend to become flustered when there's a Cadillac in the driveway.
I must have missed that email.$4,000 + season tickets, they've already sent word to everyone. That's an $800 increase from last year
If anyone is cancelling or would like to sublet (is that contractually possible) to me please slide into my DM's.$4,000 + season tickets, they've already sent word to everyone. That's an $800 increase from last year
"Crooms" was hired almost 22 years ago. And, we got what we paid for, not much of anything.Crooms made $800k. Ridiculous to spend 3x that much on intramurals
Nah, if Lebby fails, we'll still go hire a cheap assistant or some marginal G5 guy. We won't ever make this kind of hire in football.Lebby got put on notice tonight.
Is that a problem?Dayum. We have some boosters that really really like baseball.
He told me he was gonna do it for free but we just happen to be really really rich and generous. The money had absolutely nothing to do with it. I read on a very reliable source (wink wink) he left UVA because the AD was "woke" **
I just posted what it is this year elsewhere in this thread. If fans don't like it, blame your AD, not the lounge holders. Lounge holders didn't set the price.Well it’s extremely cheap at the moment.
I still can't believe Lebby made 4.5 m last year for that disaster. At least Croom hired a reasonable DC.
Vitello makes 3M/year..... supposedlyIf that summary of salary and incentives is true, it far exceeds Tim Corbin who was the highest paid college baseball coach in the country. Not sure what UT is doing with Vitello, but they might redo his contract after seeing this. This now makes Brian O'Connor the highest paid coach in the country and it's not close.
I'm not blaming anyone. I'm just stating a fact. Its a bargain price that I take advantage of. If the price goes up, i'll either continue to pay or I want. But someone will gladly swoop up the lounge if my group backs out.I just posted what it is this year elsewhere in this thread. If fans don't like it, blame your AD, not the lounge holders. Lounge holders didn't set the price.

We're spending $3million on disco lights in Davis Wade. Flashing lights that won't get turned on for at least half our games or moreWow!
He seems to be embarrassed a lot on SPS.Seriously?
Of course not because no coach relative to BOC in football would come here to fail for even crazy money. State football is not in the same realm as baseball. We won't ever make this kind of hire in football.
Only State fans would comment that BOC is the best hire in our history and then get upset when they hear what we paid him. It is the cost of playing the game. It simply boils down to $$$ if you want to win going forward. We could have hired another unknown assistant and hoped for the best and saved money. Just imagine what folks on hear would have posted about Semon then! Just be happy that the UVA fans are whining and crying about their program.I just posted what it is this year elsewhere in this thread. If fans don't like it, blame your AD, not the lounge holders. Lounge holders didn't set the price.
$4.5 is the starting point for a FB coach in the SECI still can't believe Lebby made 4.5 m last year for that disaster. At least Croom hired a reasonable DC.
If true, that would mean Selmon is doing his job and doing it well.we apparently have more than a couple former players who have made a lot of money (not in mlb but in the private sector) that have gotten involved. There are apparently several that have gotten involved that previously hadn’t b/c they didn’t like Cohen. One had a son that Cohen wouldn’t look at and the kid ended up at Ark and played, so i imagine he was good enough to play anywhere.
putting things together, it sounds like things came together that brought a lot of the right people back and like the rest of us, they have had enough. I also think they are tired of the lsu’s and tennessee‘s poaching and buying players out from under us.
Vitello makes 3M/year..... supposedly
Corbin's base is now around 2.6 million before incentives. With incentives if he achieves them all would put him around 3.2 million. BOC apparently is getting 2.9 million in base and would be pushing 4 million with all incentives achieved. Vitello looks to be solidly in with those 3 and may be the front runner, but not by very much. All of this info. is what we've all heard or read somewhere that may or may not be actuality. Needless to say, all those coaches and including likely Arkansas, LSU, and Schloss at TX are pretty much all the same. Good to see that we decided to be competitive with those programs and up the ante for a real coach.
With inflation that's roughly $1.234m and that was for someone who was an assistant. Not for someone who had won a national championship"Crooms" was hired almost 22 years ago. And, we got what we paid for, not much of anything.
