Talk about something our coaches should use for negative recruiting against Georgetown fans....

Finally a Big man to replace the RSS and Moultrie.. If we can nail down Pollard ans Howard, then I see another Top 10-15 class next year by Stans and "the Bag-man" Cunningham..... That makes 3 commitments in the top 150 already. I have a feeling we are going to have to wait on Pollard decision for a while...
Does anyone know how many spots we will have available after next year? I was thinking 4 with Bost, Bryant as seniors and Moultrie and the RSS going in the 1st round of the NBA.

As much as a dislike Stans and his coaching, he sure is recruiting like a coach on the hot seat these past few years...

Go Dawgs.......

Now if we can just get them in school and keep them there then we might actually be building something special.

So much for the "Kirbydid all the recruiting" line of thinking.

...top100 prospects who weren't able to even come close to having such a ranking justufied.
...talented to elite prospects that had issues with authority, issues with teammates, and issues between the ears.
...players wanting to get the F outta Dodge, even though they were starting or getting significant playing time.
...afterthought recruits who ended up being the program's best and most reliable players.
...season after season of underachieving or being told that 'we are young' and so not much should be expected.

Hopefully this pickup is like this past class and from what I have read, this incoming class. The corner may have been turned...finally.

Maybe that was the missing piece in landing consistent top 15 classes? Now if they would just use the weight room.

since he's already from Starkville. I can't see how a fan who follows a kid's recruitment so much that he felt obligated to post on ESPN.com, but doesn't even realize where the kid is from.

good to see you post again, CroomandWhite

he still needs to improve in developing and on the floor, minus his kids on the bench talking to athletes during a game/timeout

as far as recruiting his *** off
this can't be that huge of a get, he plays in starkville,
if he got beat out by georgetown and grant for a kid in starkville, that would be embarrassing ...kindas seems like stansbury supporters are grabbing any hint of success they can, but didn't we just tell ole miss they could win all the recruiting battles they wanted ...we would still whip there ***

Can we stop with the "Stans supporter" stuff? I just want to see MSU basketball succeed. I don't care if Stansbury or Coach34 is running the show.

Keeping a kid like Ware in state when teams like Georgetown come calling IS a big deal. O'Bryant and Adams bolted Mississippi when given the chance. And it is not just Ware that people are excited about. Stansbury is putting together some of the best high school talent of his tenure at State.

I think it has to do with the fact that this year and next year Mississippi actually has some great High School players out there. Not just one Stud, but several players worthy of all the attention. Stans and his staff have also been watching, recruiting, and actually building relationships with these players and their AAU coaches for years. I think the new practice facilty is also a plus for these recruits, but it's always nice to play close to home and your family.
I think we would have gotten Adams if Kirby had still been at State..

Ware is on the AAU circuit this summer with the Southern Phenoms and
is teammates with MSU target Devonta Pollard of Kemper County.
Pollard
is ranked as a five-star prospect and Rivals.com's second-best small
forward in the nation.
He's considering eight schools, including MSU and
Ole Miss.<span class="aa"></span><span class="pp"></span>

<span style="font-weight: bold;">"I'll persuade him," said Ware, "but that's his decision."</span>

Ware's staying Home

"I'll persuade him, but that's his decision" equals "I'm going to pester him to come join me at State, but he has to make that decision for himself."

Improper utilization of the word "persuade."
