V. Wales on Monday. Is Bale still dangerous? Feelings about the match, in general?

Yes, he is a world class player even in the back end of his career. He still has thunder in his left boot. Any team that gets out of Euro qualifying can give the US trouble. Ukraine was no joke and they got by them under pressure. The US needs to get a minimum of a point here, but 3 would be really set the tone. Getting 0 here makes it nearly impossible to get out of the group.

PSU dominating the play early. The 1st 10 minutes of the match were pretty much played in Wales half. Sargent just missed a header (I think it hit the outside of the post).

A very weak yellow card issued to Dest for a challenge along the sideline. (The foul was called, which was appropriate. The yellow card was not warranted, IMHO.)

And now McKennie gets a yellow. That was closer to being legit, but still a weak situation to warrant a yellow. So the US dominates the play, and receives 2 yellow cards in the 1st 12 minutes of the match. smh

Bale from Wales with a yellow for a tackle from behind. The first legitimate yellow in the match, IMHO

for those that don't know the background of Tim Weah, the following is a good article.

Another yellow to Wales in stoppage time. It was legit, as he pulled down Pulisic once he was beaten.

Another yellow to a USA player. And another situation that was iffy. A foul was called and was definitely warranted.

Wow, an obvious corner for Wales and the ref calls it a throw-in. It's not reviewable. Wales got screwed on the (incorrect) call.

Wales is playing much better in the 2nd half. The USA is going to have to improve their play, or Wales will get an equalizer.
