Sounds like a Papa Kante academic or ESL proficiency test issue, that may have prevented DePaul from taking him. Maybe he also lands in the SEC, where that proficiency test is not a hurdle towards enrollment like some schools.

There is a professor at DePaul with the exact same name with the exact same homeland. One would think they are probably related to each other . That being said Babacar was a KState lean and became the first recruit in the 2023 DePaul class. His individual rating went from NR ( not top 150) to 146 and then further improved to 130 before regressing back to NR. He is a rim protector and rebounder but has shown limited offense to this point. I know we were aware of him and chose to proceed in a different direction. Without any further knowledge of the situation there are only two reasons he decommitted. He either believed he wanted a winning program or it was strictly academic. If it is the former someone will take him but if is the later he is Juco or SEC bound.PS TOFEL at DePaul is 80.

Does it seem like Pike steers clear of high maintenance guys? I don’t know ethics guys story but decommitting seems like high maintenance
Get this guy and do you have to worry about threats to transfer every year?

The minimum TOFEL at RU is 79, the same as Alabama.

In theory, yes but the reality is Bama and the rest of the SEC ignore rules that aren't beneficial to them. For example, NIL is really pay-to-play according to them. Damn with following the rules as written.
