The average WNBA salary is $120,000.00 per year. Do these girls need agents?
With this type of salary for a professional athlete, they definitely need a license’s negotiator to head hunt other business opportunities for them besides having to go overseas to make some serious $$$! 👀

Rylee Grays just committed to UNC...don't know where she fits since they have Toomey #3 player and a Post committed...

Funny how most Tarheel fans would complain when we kept stacking post players saying, WHY would Cardosa want to go there? WHY would Watkins want to go there...

The answer is simple, "TO BE ON A NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM"

As long as Dawn is in charge, I don't see UNC becoming a threat to us...maybe the ACC but not Carolina...

I guess UNC is using the Dawn playbook when it comes to recruiting...you can never have enough talent, height or great post players....

They now have 2 post players committed for '23...

I'm hoping we get Rosario in the worst way...

I like having 2 strong post players in the 6-5 to 6-7 range along with a couple 6-4 power forwards...(we have this already)

Courtney Banghart is doing an excellent job at UNcarolina. She may has turned that program around in just 3 years and their ‘23 class will be top 5 at the worst.
They did not have a true post player last year, but this season they will with Teonni Key. She redshirted last season due to injury. She is Tamari’s younger sis
L’ville, State, Heels, ND, and Va Tech could all be in the top 16 seeds and hosting in NCAA this coming season.

The portal is crazy, but y’all already knew that.....

Just Take a look at the SEC east for next year. Not all of these players transferred this year

The only I worry about for next year’s team is that Henny was probably the fastest and quickest player in the country.

I am confident Raven and Kiera can play point, score and defend extremely well. We will find our 3 point offense. But Henny was a one player fast break and her quickness muted Bueckers twice and obliterated Stanford on D

I think she's going to be missed more than most fans realize. She was our 2nd most consistent player and best 3 point shooters and as you noted had unreal speed that most of our opponents couldn't prepare for. I think we can still succeed next year but we'll have to anticipate a different look and style from the PG and hope that meshes well with the team.

Henny will definitely be missed. However, my understanding Kiera mid-range game is deadly. Hopefully, she can be just a little bit better than Zia shooting the 3’s! As for Raven from high school she had both the mid-range and long- range game. Also, got a feeling that Zia is going to pick a up a notch an avoid a shooting slump and be a little more under control with her dribbling. Looking for Brea Hall and Sania Feagin to be point productive. Got a good feeling about Manila Cardoso, Queen Amihere and Brea Beal! Also, Saxson will be even better. Boston will be Boston! Olivia is going surprise us with her consistency from long range. Both, freshmen’s Cooper and Watkins will see big minutes! Just my thoughts. Remember, Hennything is possible!!! 😎

just finished watching a replay of the SC/Louisville final 4 game for the first time sine it was played.
Brea Beal‘s defense/packs against Haley Van Lith (who had been averaging 20 pts plus for the tournament )in that game was the stuff of legend.

I think Henny is not replaceable. I’ve seen some quick and fast guards, but Henny was extraordinary. I don’t think there was a faster NCAA player than her. The shooting and playmaking was off the charts too. Another thing she used that was so effective was her lack of height. She seemed to play underneath and “into” most of the people she guarded and flash those quick hands for the steal like she did against Hull from Stanford where she ruined her night after a great start.
That said I agree with your remarks. I think Zia will really shine this year and if Saxton and Brea can’t pick up a few more points from mid-range our opponents will be overwhelmed. I really pull for Feagin to have a great year. Apparently Watkins is just a really great athlete. I know the film of her dunk that was going around showed she was a real “stud”. (Excuse the terminology please). I know that the guard Cooper was amazing in the McDonalds game. Great great “handles” it appeared. And then there’s Aliyah. I’m excited.

We only know who DS has offered when the recruit makes it public or publishes her list of who she is considering.

Kitts would be a great addition, but I have not seen anything, which means nothing. Any insight on your end?

Keeping my fingers crossed for Fulwiley and Rosario for sure...

JuJu Watkins and Madison Booker would be icing on the cake...
Have a feeling Fulwiley is a lock but that could just be the TexMex from lunch. DS has not missed out on an in state recruit she wanted since Xylina McDaniel and that was 10 years ago.

IMO Del Rosario is the must get recruit. Without her we would be going into 24-25 with no true Post or relying on an incoming Fr.

Anybody want to venture a guess at the impact conference expansion may have on WBB and the Gamecocks in particular?

Number 1 beats all. It doesn’t matter for WBB.

If Texas & OU join after this season, I could very easily see Texas as preseason pick to win the league in 23-24. It makes the league that much tougher.

Not sure what scheduling will look like? 16 or 18 conference games. If it goes to 18 UCONN game probably has to move to Dec. 18 would also eliminate 2 OOC games. With series in place with taters, UCONN, Big 12 challenge and a 2-3 game holiday tourney. That only leaves 5/6 OOC spots. Limits possibilities

The league will have 3 sure fire HOF coaches; DS, Mulkey, and Schaefer at national spotlight programs. Quality established coaches at TAMU, Tenn, and OU. Rising star coaches at UGA, UF, and OM.

It means after this season we start to get serious challenges for league supremacy. It’s going to be damn near

impossible to break into the top 3 from the middle of of the pack. That includes Tenn. Next season is an all or nothing throw if the dice for them. They have final 4 talent but all 5 starters will be seniors

Expansion elevates the ACC-BIG10 challenge and downgrades SEC-BIG12

I could see it opening up recruiting in Cali. If you are going to play all those games in the Midwest....It just becomes more attractive to go east or stay in the PAC but not at USC or UCLA.

I'd say it won't hurt any. It will spice things up across the board. If the conference gets tougher, we could still make our cheese in the postseason.
