Well, this house is rooting for Ayala! Figueroa was a jerk after beating Braeden.
I meant to comment on that. He never shows a thing, so it was kind of nice to see that.
Best comment of the year - "This is Iowa's only finalist..."
I will take Iowa tears over any ASU jerkiness.
Borderline criminal that the ref waited until 1 minute left in the match to ding Figs for stalling.
So Braeden Davis lost in the quarters to the guy that won 125.

I disagree. Figs had done about the same amount of shooting, showing activity, as Ayala. In the 3rd period, Figs did stop shooting (in part because Ayala was on the all-out attack), and the ref dinged him about the time I would have given a stall warning.
Thank God someone else noticed. Right up there with Dakota Royer's.Figueroa’s mom.
Would have been interesting if the stall call would have been called at the end of the match to tie it at 3-3.
Davis was right there with the top at 125, he'll at the minimum AA multiple
Davis (and PSU's coaches) had a legitimate gripe there. You can stay away from trouble without running backwards, the way Figs did. In that situation, a ref is supposed to call stalling.
Anyone else think Ayala learned that 3-pont stance from Brian Ferentz?
