Welp. I think we can see how this one's gonna go. Where is the dang team that showed up for Memphis and Pitt? And even Kentucky to some extent.

State is just too small to win a lot of games. Baylor is absolutely out jumping (rebounding) more physical (box outs) than State.

Do we have a player not named Hubbard that understands this is their last game if they don't stop being a bunch of puds? Leave it all on the floor. Looks like they'd rather be on the bench in their safe space

Spring break starts early with a loss.

On the bright side, I'm amazed it's a close game the way we are playing. If we actually decide to start playing, we could run away with it. I've never seen us look so unorganized around the rim.

Feels like we’ve ratcheted up the intensity and it helps they are doing a great Mississippi state impression by bricking wide open threes.

Negative on offensive rebounds. Negative on turnovers. Up 1. Fortunate that Baylor isn't shooting well.

We need to survive the end of the half and get Murphy back.

This thread is consistent with the board. Playing a good team and you'd think we're down 12, but we're up 1 (right now).

Jones - another open miss. He’s getting looks. Just not knocking them down.

There's nothing that you can point to that says we "should" beat this team. Most every data based rating I looked at had them a little better than us. It's playing out like an 8-9 game should. Pretty even.

We are the bigger team… just getting out hustled
Again, I don't care what State list these players as. Cam is maybe 6-5. Murphy and Nowok are over 6-7. Everyone else, is under 6-4. So often you have 3 players on the court under 6-4 and only one at 6-5.

I expected this performance today, but I'm still getting pissed off. We've almost given 20 points up via layups.

Is there some reason why the play-by-play person must scream whenever someone makes a bucket?

You do know we our height them in most matchups.
We’re just 17-ing terrible and seemingly out coached in most every aspect of the game

Turnovers and second chance points are killing us. We aren't the most talented team and there's no chemistry at all.

8 turnovers. 2 missed front ends. Cant shoot like we do and do those things. Somehow just down 5 without our studs for a long stretch.

5/16 from 3 for our customary ~30%...
