Nice double play by the Phils. The ump has a very tight strike zone, gonna be interesting to see how that affects the game. Lots of empty seats in Dodger Stadium.

And then Duran walks Betts with the bases loaded, making it 1-1, bottom of the 7th.



Duran did get the next batter on a K, leaving the bases loaded.

Smart take by Betts. Most hitters know it's a borderline pitch and swing just in case. Betts knew he probably wouldn't be able to catch up to it and took his chance.

Bader battled, but also swung at too many balls, including the 3rd strike.

Heading to the bottom of the bottom of the 11th, still 1-1

Dodgers have 1st & 3rd, 2 out, in the bottom of the 11th, and Kerkering is brought on to face Hernandez.

Muncy steals 2nd.

Kerkering had him 1-2, or was it 2-2 (can't remember), but walked Hernandez.

So bases loaded, 2 outs. Pages at bat.

Grounder to Kerkering, he doesn't field it cleanly, then he throws wildly to home (he should have thrown to 1st).

Fricking Dodgers win, 2-1

Brutal way to lose, and end the playoffs.

The Phils might have played 20 innings and still only have 1 run tonight. Rob had several gaffs the first two games, but can't fault him on anything tonight. I would have walked Ohtani too. Last time against Duran he hit a bomb in July.

They have been all year. They chase bad pitches all the time. Stott should have walked in the 6th (or whatever) and Schwarber should have gotten an AB.

Who knows if that happened? Maybe they get Casty home from 2nd.

The hard part is going to be that they may need to take a step back to get better.

Haven't been impressed by Duran in clutch situations. Should have never thrown that second slider to Betts to go down 2-0. Betts too savvy to fall for that.
