Yeah, I’m happy with that.

Unless you're off-the-charts good, a lot of the contract numbers are based on where you are in the contract process, in terms of MLB service.

Banks made $785,500 last season.

2026 is the first year he's eligible for arbitration, and he was mostly a middle relief pitcher (which doesn't generate great statistics). Arb1 guys rarely get huge deals. He still has Arb2 (2027) and Arb3 (2028) before he gets to FA.

What’s his salary? $22M? If a team can get Casty for $3M to $5M for a contract year, then that’s great business.

I think he’ll be motivated with a change of scenery. Miami should call Dombrowski if these numbers are even close.
If the Phillies are eating most of that contract, a team like the Pirates, who are desperate for a bat, should be interested.
