Plenty of time

4.5 Iowa up 73-72
Unless the opposing coach draws up a play to dribble the length of the court and then pass off as time runs out. Iowa’s last play to quickly push the ball up the court and then kick out to an open 3 seemed to be a much better play, but of course it’s easier to say that after it worked!

This game between Johnnies and Kansas is setting offense back decades.
Seems like St. John followed the analytics and shot either at the basket or from 3, which is what modern offenses do. They were just not particularly good at it. I liked how the announcers pointed out that their offense gave them plenty of opportunities to go after offensive rebounds because they missed so much. Yet it got them to the sweet 16!

Why would the Big East feel cheated. They literally only had 3 schools with a ncaa tourney resume

Looking at it now, SHU really wasn’t close at all. I mean - everyone’s been singing their praise as the poster child of how to run a portal cycle.

Meanwhile, it seems to me, the biggest difference between them and Rutgers is simply that Pike takes too damn long to figure out his rotations. They were better than us early. For sure.

But in conference play? Nah - not really. Their league just sucked. If we only had to play 3 teams in the NET top 80, we might be 10-10 too. Just saying…

Does Rutgers have an analytic guy watching the tablet during the game . Can't remember which team has a guy looking at it. TV showed him and announcers spoke of it. Maybe it was the Iowa or Virginia game.

Iowa...and they got them both right (the challenges). Those refs were quite blind as both calls were obvious.
Since I'm down on the refs...they really need to address things like that last official TO to check the clock. They gave Florida a free TO there to put the 1 second back on. I get putting it back on but it should have taken 1 minute to see it and do it and leave the players on the court. Too many free time outs with these reviews.

Iowa doing what I thought Wiscy would do. Guess Texas showing bubble wasn’t that weak again… or power conference teams deserve more bids.
