Klinksy vs Peterson Blood ROund

Another interesting one

V. RObinson (former champ) and E. Ventresca in blood round
McGowan Ventresca match with odd ending unless I missed something. Ventresca goes up 2-1 on 3rd MAM caution in tiebreaker but gets ridden out. MAM escapes in tiebreaker for one plus gets riding time point for 3-2 victory?

How we feeling about 28th place, 7 team points and a very real shot we don’t have an AA again. But lets stay status quo on the staff for another year. Things might change lol.

No way SCW gets by Sinclair, Catka is going to have a tough one with either Mirasola or Carroll. Cotton best shot.

If you have ever seen Buxton practices he will spend hours/days/weeks on every single aspect of fundamental positions. Moving a hand over an inch. Exact head tilt position. Where to apply Pressure. The guy is down lying on the mat with wrestlers studying every aspect of their technique. It’s clear that he’s had a major role in Columbia’s performance.
Someone above bashing me about coaches said Buxton is washed up. He only cornered Rivera to a Silver medal.

no coincidence our best years were with Pritzlaff and him.

Walsh is so frustrating sometimes, like he doesn't know the rules. Two fleeing the mat in one period.

Yeah, this is becoming a SCW problem not others. Stop mouthing off and wrestler harder during the match jerkoff. If he was wrestling harder, he'd have no energy for this bullsh*t.
It was like when junior nardone wrestled tj Jaworsky. Jaworsky beat the living daylights out of him and basically made him cry on the mat. Then when they go to shake hands Nardone shoves him.

HWT Carroll is an unbelievable scrambler but does not shoot. That's how he beat Misarola. Catka, if you're going to shoot make sure you have it and get in deep. Catka should try to tire him out and see if he can get something late.

#5 Nick Feldman injury defaults to #20 Pitzer and has been eliminated. Looked injured and couldn't do much most of the match. Was down 1-10 before ending it.

#2 Elam also banged up and is done.

Sorry but only 7 points and tied with George Mason is very humiliating for a Big Ten Team that tied for 3rd in the conference. Nothing anyone can say about this season being a success. Beat Minnesota which was great but how they are ranked #11 is a joke. Unfortunately with that ranking don't see replacing the coach, especially with the class coming in next year.

I expected around 4 blood round wrestlers at beginning of season....with 1.5 AA.

Yes, Associate HEad Coach is a must.
Also, better recruiting..... We get Knox and Both Harer's back next season.
Need to get 2 or 3 B. Harer type recruit every season

This is an epic underachievement. I can understand not getting an AA, but the first round was brutal.
This isn’t an NIL thing. Obviously lack of NIL funds prevents us from getting the upper echelon type wrestlers that would be a shoe in for AA, but what happened yesterday is unacceptable after the season we had.
On the bright side, it looks like our ability to land a top rated guy or two may have changed with the addition of Knox next year so we’ll see what next year brings, but this hasn’t been fun

Seeing what Zinn was able to finance for the football coaching staff. My hopes are high that she sees what can be achieved with upgrading the staff in wrestling. Need a revamped staff.

We're sticking with George Masan and Utah Valley, right where we belong.

Seeing what Zinn was able to finance for the football coaching staff. My hopes are high that she sees what can be achieved with upgrading the staff in wrestling. Need a revamped staff.
If you haven't already you should listen to Zinn's interview on the Rutgers Rant podcast. She is asked the question about her approach to assembling a coaching staff with the head coach directly.

Yea listened. And that’s what’s exciting. Have never had an AD that understood how to add value and insight to assembling a staff.
