... It would likely take David Taylor $1M+/yr plus a ton of other $ for staff and resident athletes to get JB here.
Yes, it probably would. Isn't that what you meant when you said: "We should all be ecstatic that our new AD is at the national championships and attended most matches. She's all in and I have confidence she'll invest in the program to build a winner."

He isn’t going to coach a high school team. He just gave a 45 minute interview with nj com. He wants to coach college one day and even implied he’d like to do it in NJ and talked about how Rutgers should be a power. He’s focused on elevating south jersey wrestling as a whole right now with his club, he isn’t just going to takeover some private school to just build a high school super team
There was enough in that interview to believe he is at least open to discussion. If Zinn hasn't or isn't going to speak with him about possibilities and what it would take for him to coach at Rutgers, she is missing what might be the biggest opportunity Rutgers has ever had to elevate the program. BUT, as I've said before, Rutgers will never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity.

Valenti just waited like a decade to become a head coach they aren’t just going to push him back into the admin side unless he chooses to do that. He’s literally the reason the RTC has made the strides it has and he’s the best wrestler in school history. And as for your other post above maybe you missed it while you were giggling but I’ve mentioned like 8 times in the last year James Green is the best younger coaching prospect out there. He’s the reason for Nebraska jumping a level , he coached the USA youth team at the Olympic training center years ago and every single wrestler gave him credit for getting them better. Caleb Henson said he never wins a national title if it were for the time he spent getting coached by James Green. NJ guy, all the kids coming up know who he is, 5x world team member , multi time world medalist, already a respected an experienced coach.

The current coaching Staff has strengths and weaknesses. Guys like Mytech and Pollard have done well recruiting in areas, but in my opinion D1 level technicians they are not. Donnie and SeaBass are much more accomplished and stronger in this area. Outside of Labrieola who is young and new to coaching, the staff lacks that presence of an accomplished veteran that can speak first hand to wrestling on the biggest stage, mindset, technique, preparation, etc. having men on your staff that wrestled on the world stage, internationally is a major + that almost all of the top teams have.
Have you been in the room to see Pollard coach? He's an excellent technician, and trained many of these top HS wrestlers for years. I agree we should add top talent though like you said.

Zinn is at the tournament for more than just rooting on the team. National tournaments, in any sport, basketball baseball lax etc…is when all the players are in one location. She’s having many conversations on the side. You can count on that.

Honestly I’d rather Green with JB running a club and sending his best guys to wrestle for Green and popping into the RTC from time to time and rolling with guys.

I have no idea what this graphic is showing us money wise. It’s clearly not coaching salaries. NIL no way we spend that much and Michigan has 10x more

Scott’s contract expires in 2032. Hard to imagine Rutgers eating that much money

Well you don’t fire him he’s earned the right to not be fired but you transition him to admin or pay him to oversee the RTC and let him have a soft retirement where he’s still around all the time
Were you pushing this rumor for many years under a different screen name that they'll transition him to an admin position somewhere?

Not the RU room but other rooms. No disrespect to him, but he’s not a top technician and if RU let him go tomorrow other BIG teams wouldn’t be itching to pick him up

No I didn’t think it was time to start planning to move on from Goodale until last season
but I don’t think he should ever be fired he saved the program

This version of Bouzakis and end of year Knox yes absolutely but he probably wouldn’t have hit him.McGowan would be a tough match
U sound so certain 🤷‍♂️ and what does end of year Knox mean? And McGowan would have been a tough match for who? How do we know he probably wouldn’t have hit who, wouldn’t the bracket and seeds look diff if Knox was in the field ? 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ lol? You say it so confidently like to not worry about a one armed Ryder but yeah I hope you are right lol

SCW wet the bed , he didn’t even try to shoot , he should’ve been ripping off Russians on that bum shoulder like every single guy Ryder wrestled at big 12s did but he just got pushed for 7 minutes. If you re a wrestling a fan and you don’t know there is a significant difference between a true freshman wrestling in November compared to a guy peaking in march then I don’t know what to tell you.

McGowan style wise would be a tough match for Knox .Im sorry that you’re the only guy in the country that doesn’t think highly of Knox but he’s on the same level as the 4 guys in the semis at 133 right now so yea I’m confident he’d be a finalist if he was opposite LL he has a higher motor then any of these other 125s

I think highly of Knox. I’m just surprised of your confidence how you see things. Didn’t u say Amos would win a National title this year bc he had a close match w someone and now wrestling natural weight? You also keep kept saying Ludington is a natural 184er wrestling 197 so explains the results. How would u explain the results of Arnold, natural 174er, wrestling up two weights lol I mean it’s already achievement he’s a NQ.

What do you mean a true freshman wrestling in Nov?? Are you talking bout Jax, Blaze? They fine. Whos peaking in March? U meant Bouzakis? Lol.. ?_?

cody Walsh the last of the Camden catholic Walsh brothers is the 32 seed at 165 and won 3 matches and still alive . He was losing 10-4 to Euton who also had riding time with 55 seconds left and he won 14-11

Curious to hear what Messenbrink and Hepner were jawing about.
Not sure - Looked like it was initiated by MM. I dunno what Hepner did except give him his best shot. I didn't see anything dirty but maybe I missed something.

MM upset it went to decision, Hep stopped wrestling 3 seconds from final whistle so MM had to say something while Hep said F** off. Probably something like that.

No Bouzakis can’t make weight for a multi day tournament that’s been the concern with him all year , it’s a long season and the cut is catching up with him and he still might AA he has Klinsky then Peterson.

Arnold was a higher P4P recruit than Lundington and he’s been wrestling in college for 3 years already what are you talking about.Lundington would’ve been a NQ at 197 too and all Arnold does is stall to 1-1 OT matches Harvey actually opens up and wrestles guys . If you don’t think true freshman get a lot better from November of their true freshman year to the end of it then you are just a fool and yea Blaze is better now then he was in Nov.
