No Bouzakis can’t make weight for a multi day tournament that’s been the concern with him all year , it’s a long season and the cut is catching up with him and he still might AA he has Klinsky then Peterson.

Arnold was a higher P4P recruit than Lundington and he’s been wrestling in college for 3 years already what are you talking about.Lundington would’ve been a NQ at 197 too and all Arnold does is stall to 1-1 OT matches Harvey actually opens up and wrestles guys . If you don’t think true freshman get a lot better from November of their true freshman year to the end of it then you are just a fool and yea Blaze is better now then he was in Nov.
Who said I don’t think a true freshman gets a lot better throughout the year? I actually think there’s an advantage to being young and hungry over the conventional wisdom of seniors just keep getting better over time. Why do you keep mentioning true freshmans, is it bc if Knox? Bc I thought he had a gray shirt year or something.

What amazes me is how technically sound the PSU guys are. They finish shots without all these ridiculous scrambles and roll-through a. Take Mizz’s Sinclair for example - if he could have simply shelved Ferrari’s leg a half dozen times he wins that match easily. Instead, he lets Ferrari flop around and ends up losing the match.

This sport is broken. Three point take down did nothing but promote stalling. Nobody other than PSU and a few others have the top game to score or pin. Edge of the mat has become the safe place to hang out. Too many guys can’t wrestle on their feet so they just sit back and wait for the scrambles. Need to change neutral danger rule so that it means something when these ankle tweakers want to flop around. Freestyle step out rule needs to come to folkstyle.

Just saw Columbia is in 11th right now. I mean, it's kind of hysterical at this point how they are out there accomplishing what Rutgers has been preaching for years now.
coaching matters...ESPECIALLY in college. countless examples of this.

it's simply silly that this is even a conversation on these boards any more.

for the quintillionth time...multiple things can be true... Goody can be a legend for what he did, but isn't capable (alone) of truly getting this team to be a top ten team

btw, as I type this, Catka is in DEEP, but then gets taken down for 3. This has happened to EVERY SINGLE RU wrestler multiple times this tournament. 1000% coaching.

If you have ever seen Buxton practices he will spend hours/days/weeks on every single aspect of fundamental positions. Moving a hand over an inch. Exact head tilt position. Where to apply Pressure. The guy is down lying on the mat with wrestlers studying every aspect of their technique. It’s clear that he’s had a major role in Columbia’s performance.
