For anyone watching, why did Degl let that kid up with less than :20 left? Granted, I’m sick in bed watching this as I’m only half coherent, but couldn’t he have forced OT pretty easily?

141 consi round of 16 -- Cael Nasdeo vs. Noah Kochman, Duke

Nasdeo somehow got a 7-0 lead. Was watching Adams and missed how. And then I missed more and he's up 11-0 after two. No @SlipperyPete am I! Nasdeo gets in on a double leg and finishes it for a 14-0 lead with about 1:30 left to wrestle. Nasdeo cuts to 14-1 with 55 seconds left. That'll be the final with a riding time point added.

Nasdeo MD Kochman, 15-1

Asher is really good on the mat. Much improvement needed on his feet though. Guys get to his legs way too easy.
Getting in deep on his leg is the easy part.....now finishing somewhere other than your back is when the wrestling begins. He does need better baseline defense, but he can gain that easier than learning how to scramble like that. I trust his parents and coaches to nurture him along.

Not enough matches left for Davis to qualify. It's either Desmond or it's Nasdeo.
Davis will qualify for sure. He won’t get an allocation or an rpi unless he can get matches in a tournament or two, but he’d probably finish around 4th in the B1Gs. There will be way more than 4 allocations for the conference.

Anyone know if Davis and Nagao wrestled off for the spot or was this always a planned RS year for Braeden?
