Penn State is focused on a much better RB prospect in David “Tre” Segarra from South Carolina.
That’s interesting because when Spell committed to UGA, many said they were more focusd on a kid named Isiah Rogers who may be better than Spell.

It’s all subjective. If you have yet to do so, I recommend you watch the highlight videos of both players. In my opinion, Segarra is a much better RB than Rogers.

Pulling a SC kid out of the south when he has offers from SC, Tennessee, UGA, UF, and Clemson seems like a tall task, but we will see.

Rogers is a strong prospect, but I’ve never heard anyone say Rogers is better than Spell. You never know until they get on the field. Until signing day I would put committed in quotation marks with Spell. Between now and then the agents for every high 4 or 5 star prospect in the country are working behind the scenes to get better offers from the highest bidder. Those guys it’s mostly money dictating where they go. It’s now a matter of landing some of those guys and finding the diamond in the rough guys as well.

Correct. I mean who would’ve imagined that Kaytron Allen would’ve ended up a far superior college running back than Nick singleton

The loss of J. Seider after the ND game was the beginning of the failure of last years
team. He was a great recruiter and Love and Price needed little coaching as did Nick
and Katron. ND is riding that momentum with this years recruiting.
The development of MC's running back room along with other positions will be focused
on all year long. running back has rarely been a problem at Penn State.
MC and staff will find their RB, I thought between Saquon and Nick and
Katron, J. Seider could have done better.
I believe ND is assuming a lock in position to the playoffs every year with that special
rule implemented, but the voters may have other thoughts.

I never would have imagined it. Sometimes raw athleticism does not predict success. Nick would smoke Kaytron in a straight line footrace, but running through traffic in a game Nick cannot see the field, often runs into the defenders, and gets shoe string tackled more often than I can remember any PSU rb. Kaytron sees the holes and weaves and bulldozes his way through defenders like a pro.

Terry is working on one hell of a secondary haul. Defense in general feels like it go on a bit of a run.

Would be nice to get a pledge from Bourque so we can get some momentum on the offensive side.

Do we have a commit now or not? I assume Rogers did not commit to us.

This whole thread is cluttered up by these guys thanking Penn State for the "incredible offer" on their X account while probably many have absolutely no intention of committing to us. It is like when you interview and the hiring manager gives you this bs about how great your resume is but they have absolutely no intention of hiring you. Stop with these irrelevant posts from these guys all thanking coach whomever about the offer and focus on who is committing or likely to commit to us.

Yes, Taylor, big commit but very iffy now. Gleason....meh.
Star gazing much? Since two services don’t even have him rated yet, that number will soon rise considerably. As TFrank said in today’s podcast, expect him to be a four-star when all is said and done.

Our director of recruiting just posted a Lion emoji. If this is the new bat signal, I wonder who it is…..
