Left Hendersonville out completely. I think they belong in one of those top 2 tiers you mentioned. They did lose their coach. But have about everyone coming back.

Is that confirmed? They hired a new offensive coordinator. How will the O-Line look this year?

I believe that if it happens this year...it's a team that'll have to win in a shootout...their offense won't be stopped.

Imma go out on a limb and say….ain’t no way all these 32 teams make it back to the playoffs again.
Who is it gonna be?
I could see Brevard or RS Central or both getting in.
I’m betting Walkertown does too….the forfeits won’t happen this time around.
How about?….North Stanly.
Go COMETS!….. Got to meet their coach at the Mt. Pleasant playoff game…good feller…he showed up with another feller that played for Maiden….Jamie Pope. Gosh!…Pope could’ve played that night…yep..still a stud!
Using Ledford as a gauge last year…yes!… I’m comparing again….Ledford played everdambody in 2a…including Clinton….North Stanly played Ledford as tough as anybody did.
I’ll take the Comets to be there this fall.
And yes….I haven’t forgotten you…..East Burke and Bandys….maybe just maybe…could join the big show as well!

Hendersonville fielded their JV team for Varsity last fall…..it’s mind boggling how young they were.

….leading rusher was a freshman.
Not one senior caught a pass…not one!
Leading senior tackler was 7th on the team…next one was 16th.

I saw on WBTV news tonight that a huge Lincolnton High School football fan passes away. I’m sorry I didn’t catch his name. He was a frail looking black man. It seemed everybody in town knew him. My condolences to his family and the entire town of Lincolnton.

My father in law says his name was Kojak...or that's what everyone called him. Said he was dearly loved and the community took care of him and he was at all the ball games and supported everything Lincolnton did.
I was hoping another Lincolnton fan would post and I am not going to do this the justice deserved of a beloved individual in the community.
Kenny 'Kojack' Hambright passed away last week on Friday, July 15. For those in the town, Kojack was closely associated with the Lincolnton High School Band. He may have been the longest serving "director" in the school's history. If you ever experienced getting a "ticket" from Kojak consider yourself special and you probably deserved it. Until he passed, one of the people who constantly checked in on Kojak was former Lincolnton Head Coach, Scott Cloninger, who provided updates on Kojak's spirit on his Facebook page. Those who knew Kenny are sadden and will be missed in the town. Go Wolves!
Kenny's receiving will be held Friday night from 6-9 at the Citizens Center. This is a fairly large building that serves as an auditorium and civic center for Lincoln County. I know of a long serving congressman, a congressional medal of honor recipient and a chief of staff of the Air Force along with several popular mayors, clergy, law enforcement, court and government officials from here but Kenny is the first person I can remember being honored with a receiving at the Citizens Center.
I knew him since we were children. He is truly one of Lincolnton's favorite sons.
