I had worked off shore for the summer and had a hole burning in my pocket with all that cash. I got lucky. I haven't bet in the last 5 or so years now (read that as "I got married").

I believe the spread was 9 for that game. I was at a conference in Reno and went downstairs and placed the bet in person. The guy had to explain to me how to do it and what all of the options meant. I decided to place a straight bet and give up the points because if we lost the game, I didn't care if I won the money.

I still have a copy of that receipt.

I did however win a $3000 State/Tulane in NOLA. That was a great night.

I would usually place several bets on saturday/sunday with 1 big bet a year. Once the internet sportsbooks went down, I gave it up.
