As Barney Fife said, big really big. Had SP’s QB not got knocked out on the first series I think it would have been a little closer. Still a loss for the Red Raiders but closer. I also think they will repeat.

Someone better beat them this year because they will be really good the next few seasons to follow. Their freshman class is really good!!!

Crest expectations to be determined. Have to replace all conference RB and fill several holes on D. Plus add in a whole new system. Chargers will prob look rough first 1/2 of season. Should end way better than it begins.

Riley will be difficult to replace. I’ve heard there is a more traditional fullback moving up from JV that’s supposed to be pretty good. I’m also hearing the defense should be better. I’m expecting good things from the “O” line. So who knows, they might suck next season.

Kings Mountain is returning I believe 17 to 18 starters from last years team. Last years team was a bunch of sophomores and juniors

Ashbrook may have athletes, what they lack and have for several years now is discipline. I don’t expect much difference than last year.

SP has the ingredients to be really good come August. QB Phiffer will be back under center and handing off to Chaynce Ford. Big kid and a more stereotypical FB that will be a handful as he develops. The defense will be stout with some athletes coming back. The OL will be anchored by 6'7" 300lb Sully. SP will be fine.

Dudley is the favorite: with statesville, crest, kings mountain, south point and west Charlotte being contenders

Yea I would agree Dudley has to be the favorite until someone can knock them off. I think Hickory might surprise some teams this year they really improved a lot this past year. I am not sure if Hickory had a lot of seniors on the team last year or not.

I believe Statesville had some key players that had left, but what will they have coming back. I know they didn’t have a JV team from last season. But will have to see how it plays out going into this next season. I’m thinking Hickory will be a team to look at. They were young from last season but played really well. I say probably say in ‘23 they could be a good contender in the playoffs. Now what will Hibriten have this season.

Any update on his recruitment?

Should be a good year in the Big South.
I still say the top three in the Big South are better than the top three in any other conference in 3A.

SHS Lion are you referring to Absher. If so I feel confident in saying he will end up at Clemson. I don’t know how many schools have contacted him but I don’t think it matters. Clemson has been his choice from the get go or so I’ve been told.

Schools are all so liberal and “woke” these days if I had a son able to play ball at that level, I’d probably urge him to get a job at Wal-Mart and skip college.

Good thing you don't. You'd probably have a damn seizure at the thought of him bringing home somebody "different". Weirdo.
"Different" in today's world is far from what was considered different just a decade ago. So, you are probably correct. A decade ago the majority of our society could agree that marriage was between one woman and one man. Now the majority of our society isn't sure what is a woman and a man.

To be the man, you have to beat the man. But that shouldn't include the stuff between his legs weirdo.

Hey FoCo, I figured me speaking up for Social, Physical, Religious or traditional conservatism would cause you to come crawling out from under your rock.

He's not talking about that kind of different
