Union County doing well in the playoffs again. 3 of the 8 teams left in the 4A west are from Union County. Weddington. Cuthbertson and Porter Ridge. Monroe also remains in the 2A west bracket.

Interesting, Mallard Creek a 28pt dog....and that 13 seed East Forsyth is a 7pt favorite over 5 seed Glenn. Just goes to show how off East Forsyth seed was...

That’s awesome. I did some work with the NFHS Network at Weddington’s 1st home game against Charlotte Christian this year. Crowd was amazing.

Union County has exploded in growth since I graduated in 1990. When I was in high school here we only had 5 high schools, now I think there are are 13. Forest Hills and Monroe have always had great football history while Weddington whose newer has become a state power in 3A and now 4A. Porter Ridge, Marvin Ridge and Cuthbertson are also great teams. Metrolina Christian a private school here I think went 10-2 this season but lost last week.
