Neither team has impressed me not sure what's going on here. I seen Woodgrove against liberty earlier in the year and they looked better then compared to now. What's going on Potter?

Dominion has some special players. Teams/coaches are familiar with styles, schemes. Woodgrove made a few mistakes but Dominion wanted it a bit more. McCants stamped his ticket to 4A West POY IMO. He's special. Salem fans will enjoy watching this kid next week. Tough place to win, I'm going Salem by a score.

Alas, that is why they play the game!

Wow this loss is going to sting for a while.

I honestly think this team was the best shot we had at a state title.

I can't wait for next year!

Playing a regular season opponent for a second time in the playoffs when you have already beaten them is so tough. Our second go around with Grafton went from a 32 point win to a 6 point nail biter. A few years ago we were also on the short side of the rematch. Best of luck to all.

Hey Tom, I echo all of the sentiments above. I love reading your post. If you decide to come to Williamsburg, I'll be there regardless of who is playing. Let's shake hands if you do.

I thought Salem had the best 4a team in the state in the late 80s and in 92 but things happened and Salem did not win the Championship. It took the Spartans several attempts to finally win their first State title in 1996 then the flood gates opened and Salem won six more (7 in 20 years). Keep on pounding on that door until it finally opens
