4AA Holly Springs seeded #3 Forfeits Season

The crazy thing about that is whoever wins the Garner and Wakefield game will automatically go to the 3rd round.
Also crazy that this is the 2nd time in what 3 years? Maybe 4 that a high seed had to forfeit going into the 4AA playoffs.

I know. It sucks for the kids.
What I found odd was the ineligible player was just in the last two conference games, so where was he all year? NCHSAA wouldn't have never known probably but the school self reported so they dropped the $500 fine to $250. Shame is if the school had just figured it out before they turned in record they would have still be fined but at 8-3 probably would have still gotten in a wild card. I hate it for the boys.
