Wow nothing like another ESCC on ESCC game will be the 3rd ESCC team eliminated by another in the 3 weeks
I will accept the bye if still available. When you have a 400 team conference, shite like this happens. Or should we just give byes to the ESCC to the semi's?
Nah I know shite like that happens just stating a fact....pretty sure Naz had a bye this last game anyhow lolWhen you have a 400 team conference, shite like this happens. Or should we just give byes to the ESCC to the semi's?

I know this. Montini won't run into any other CCL Green rivals in the playoffs.
Montini doesn't go 11-0 in ESCC this year...11-0 in the CCL-G or ESCC. Don't see much of a difference between the schedule they had this year and the schedule any team in the ESCC had this year.

Naz-JCA is going to be a heavyweight match. St. Laurence is going to be favorite against either beat up team.

JCA maybe beats them, so I'll say 10-1.
No flame war attempted, just calling out the whining. If you don't want to face conference teams in the playoffs, don't be in a conference with 10 teams. I saw people crying about Marist-NND. They make 8A and 7A 1-32 and people still complain...
JCA manhandles them up front,.
maybe it is time for the catholics to split away and have there own state championship….maybee three classes The big chicago schools i.e. Loyola, Mt Carmel, Providence……Montini, jca, naz….and then Quincy ND, and the rest…..of course seeding
i have no interest in replaying in my mind any old bronco games nor any future montini games. good riddance bronco, jusqu'a nous sommes rendez-vous deja en huit-A.I hear this every year about JCA and it's justified. JCA is great up front and I know all the great lineman your talking about on JCA.
Montini's DT and DE are not well known but the DE has played outstanding all year and the big 310-pound DT has played outstanding the last 3 games. Plus JCA has at least 1 lineman playing both ways which is not a good thing. I know Montini's lineman, if healthy would do well against this years well-known lineman at JCA.
My only worry would be containing Michael Johnson just like trying to contain Ivlow in the past.
Wassup
JCHill,
I know what you mean, I still have bad memories in my head from Loyola, SHG and Driscoll. Can't get rid of them.
funny how it turns, I'm not sure we've ever lost to those teams (not sure we ever played driscoll).

At least Capitalize Catholic if you are going to be that way.
After STL round one performance against Rich Central, I wouldn't say a win over Tinley is automatic.
Um,I'm sure most the board agreed with him. I thought the same thing, and IDGAF about the CCL BlueI love, love, love, love this quote by a typical Mount Carmel alumnus, please allow me to retort.....
Thank you captain obvious! Yes the score was closer than most expected, so thank you for your expert observation/opinion. I find it is quite amusing, that a MC alum decides to weight in or take a jab at another CCL program right after his own beloved team got bounced. I ask you Mr. Expert, is Brother Rice suspect too because they didn't blow out South Elgin in round 2? I'll answer that for you, NO SIR, you know why? Because in the playoffs, a win, is a win, is a win and Rice like Laurence did what they needed to to get out of an uncomfortable situation, it's called over coming adversity.
I was at the St. Laurence/Rich Central game so I will add a little more depth than what you provided. RC had a nice backfield and a strong game plan which included miss direction & capitalizing on their team speed, good move on their coaches part! STL's special teams had numerous missed opportunities in the 1st half; they botched an extra point, missed a very makeable FG, had a KO returned for a TD and another Olympian return that set up a score. If they can shore up special teams and not put their defense in short field situations they can play with anyone in 5A, including the ESCC teams mentioned. That's what their coaching staff did at half, and they allowed 7 2nd half points and their offense scored 14, game over.
The only portion of your one-liner that I agree with is you saying, "I wouldn't say a win over Tinley is automatic," because that would be taking a shot at the Titan program.
A win, is a win, is a win in the playoffs and me being an STL fan will take it anyway possible, it's been a long time coming!
Best of luck to Loyola, Rice, Montini, & Bishop Mac in the quarters, hope to see all of you in the semis and beyond!
