You know Franklin from South Point broke some long runs on Shelby and Gee Witherspoon is better
They were.compared to South Point. You saw what Shelby and Crest did to Burns and what Lincolnton and East Lincoln (twice) did to West Caldwell.
Again, Hibriten got exposed last year. Pray it doesn't happen again Friday night.

Look, I've already said Witherspoon is a talented player. I've also said I think Hibriten will score against Shelby (and not be shut out like SP did to 'em last year). I'm agreeing with you on a number of points. I just think Shelby is the better team and it will show come Friday night.

I'll also give Hibriten some credit on beating W. Rowan last year. I thought W. Rowan was going to win that game, especially after they took it to Crest. But Hibriten came ready to play. Which is why it was a little surprising to see how SP dominated and exposed Hibriten.
Ok, that's your view and here's mine. Hibriten has homefield advantage, remember last season when they were looking at a 4 loss team coming there and got punched in the nose. This Hibriten team is quite a bit better than last year's. Unlike you I think this is two very good defenses. Hibriten jumps to a 14-0 lead then holds off Shelby with a late goal line stand for a 14-7 victory
Hey 2 cents, you still haven't said why Shelby only put 7 points on Mt Pleasant, a good defense but not as good as they'll see this week
Someone better remind Gee that he's playing Shelby.... this way, when he breaks a long one he can at least make it look like he was almost caught!
You are making too much of home field advantage. There will be just as many Shelby fans as Hibriten fans at the game. Plus, just from what I've seen over the years, Shelby seems to play better sometimes on the road in the playoffs.

I saw Hibriten play Franklin, Patton and Foard. Saw Shelby against Kings Mt., Crest and East Rutherford.
I think what he is trying to say is that he wasn't impressed with Robinson.
Robinson started the year off slow, but they are playing much better ball right now. A rematch right now with Hibriten would be a lot closer as I am sure a real game with Shelby at this point would be.

No but my brother was there and he said they had a off night, it happens. All 3 games I saw of Shelby I saw things Hibriten can expose. I also believe Coach Mackie will draw up a plan to make Malik's night miserable nursing that high ankle sprain

Well, I saw the NC game, and like another poster has already stated, NC should have won that game. And since that is the one common opponent, Shelby beat NC 49-20. It was 42-14 at the half. Think about that just for a moment.
And sure, there are some things Hibriten could expose about Shelby, but newsflash, there is a lot that Shelby can expose about Hibriten. And if you are honest, you should be able to admit that.
You seem to be putting a lot of emphasis on things such as home-field advantage, what some coach did against Shelby when he was at Freedom, and hopes that Shelby will have injury problems, etc. You are ignoring how Shelby's defense is going to key on Hibriten's run all night long and force Hibriten to beat them in the air. You are also ignoring that Shelby's offense is quick and athletic. And yes, that offense may not be as good as last year, but it will still be the best offense Hibriten has seen (better than NC who put 17 points up against Hibriten).

Wow a useless comparison. we played NC early in the year and i already said we had a ton of mistakes. That was then and this is now.
I've threw several comparisons out there that I sure as don't feel like retyping . They are other common comparisons I've mentioned. I think you'll be shocked come Friday night but you believe what you want to believe as will I. I have seen both teams three times and have watch a lot on both squads on Hudl. Hibriten will beat the mighty golden lions if they take care of the ball. They will get a couple of picks on defense as well and Malik's high ankle sprain will force a couple errant throws. I think Shelby will beat Hibriten, but I would never say Hibriten "can't" beat Shelby. Anything can happen in high school football.
