No, it isn't a useless comparison. It is the one common opponent. And Hibriten played NC the same time Shelby was playing Crest and KM, the games Gregg is using to judge Shelby by.
And yes, Hibriten had a ton of mistakes. Hibriten also had a ton of mistakes against Franklin but Franklin didn't capitalize on them like a good Shelby team will.

If Hibriten has a even or better turnover ratio they win, simple as that. Now with a healthy Malik that confidence ratio would be a tad lower to toss up
I'm not anointing Shelby anything. I'm not sure Shelby can win the state this year. I do think though they will beat Hibriten. Shelby isn't Franklin. And they sure aren't Newton-Conover either or any of the other teams you have set and watched Hibriten play. if Hibriten makes the mistakes against Shelby that they did against Franklin or NC, it will be a long night for Hibriten.

If and buts were candy and nuts. Turnovers kill all teams momentum. That cab go both ways. Our team knows already that they have to play great to win. Shelby is no joke but we have a great team also that has the talent to win it all this year.

No, they don't. There are plenty of places where high school football is not taken that seriously.
Again, high school football is a big deal in Cleveland County. So I am not surprised at all they keep score in a scrimmage. It actually isn't that uncommon where football is important.

I think I am leaning more to 27-7 Hibriten now. Maybe even 27-14 if Hibriten makes mistakes. Past championships will not matter nor will who we both played or who they played. I am thankful that you all beat South Point. I would rather our guys play at home and I hope for cold weather. The Franklin fans were talking about how cold it was here.
