A retired number is the highest honor for a former player. I just can't get behind retiring the number of a player who only played two seasons.
Seton Hall has only retired eight men's basketball numbers. Whitehead is nowhere near a top 10 player in program history. Here are just a few of those who would be in line ahead of him: Mark Bryant, Dan Callandrillo, John Morton, Nick Galis, Shaheen Holloway, Andre Barrett and Greg Tynes. Not saying all these guys should be retired, but they'd all be ahead of Whitehead in the pecking order.
