And I just don't see how we aren't top5 for sure, but probably should be more like top3 and even a case for #1 preseason. Like someone posted above, we almost have two starting lineups.
The depth is 90s-level, without exaggeration. When Jasper Johnson is possibly your fourth or fifth guard/wing player, you know you're dealing with elite depth.

Kentucky will be coming at opponents in relentless waves next year, with legitimate length at all positions.

Griffin canceled his visit, so it was whoever commits first situation
THOUSAND percent on board with something like that versus a player like Wilkerson.

We shored up a (personal) concern of mine at lead guard for when Lowe is out (or, hell, who knows how practice plays out!) and got a player that just won a national championship.

If some of you all weren't watching/paying attention, he was in there for the under 4 timeout....crunch time......in the national championship game.

Pope had to throw a roster together last season, this year he meticulously created a fantastic one

We have room for one more player and one more player only. His name is Dame Sarr. I am keeping this dream alive, even if it is a pipe dream.
I love that kid's game, but I think Pope wants Jasper Johnson to be his next long-term Jaxson Robinson, and I think the staff wants him to have a real chance next season and developing. Sarr to UK makes that development more difficult because it pushes Jasper even further down a rotation that is already looking like the deepest in the nation next season.

Good pick up.

If we add another player, it will be a developmental piece, like maybe Hawthorne.

Can’t see us adding another rotation player.

There’s just no more room.

I like both players, but Aberdeen can play point guard, and he's a better defender than Griffen. Both are comparable shooters.

This is a huge pickup, and will be an experience upgrade from Lewis as our backup.

My best guess about rotation:

G - Lowe - Johnson - Perry
G - Aberdeen - Chandler - Johnson
G - Oweh - Williams - Noah
F - Mo D - Jelavic - JQ
C - JQ - Garrison - Moreno

That's just absurd depth. I only put JJ as the backup at point guard due to Pope trying to keep him "fed." Aberdeen would be the natural backup point guard but I just can't see Pope playing Johnson as strictly a third-string guard.

I love having Jasper Johnson be given the chance to develop over the course of two years, before he likely leaves for the NBA as a sophomore or maybe even a junior.

Someone in the know said word on the street was that UK's NIL is about double what many were reporting.

If true, we're going to be landing premium talent for years to come!
Like, if donors were glad Cal was gone and gave Pope some ammo to hunt, I'm sure they are *very* happy with what he did in such a short amount of time both last season and up to now in the portal.

Would make total sense some of them are upping donations or getting off the sideline after seeing results and buying in.

Just from an x's and o's and analytics perspective, Pope is going to just wring every ounce out of what he has.

Last season, even with injuries, was proof of concept for Pope and I 100% believe more donors would be wanting to help at this point

At least five highly intense players in Oweh, Diaboute, Aberdeen, Lowe and Quaintence. Don't know how intense Williams is. Lowe intense on offense, how about defensively?

You are joking, right? It is about money. Kentucky offered him much more than UF.
You know it could be all you delusional Florida football fans care more about football than what has made your school relevant the last 15 years basketball .

One walk-on leave, one more guy come?

Now he's trying to raise the talent floor for practices lol.

The faith I have for Pope to figure it all out is about 100000000000000000% more than the last guy.

Practice reports are going to be incredible, can't wait to see who starts separating themselves and establish their spots (again, something else I completely trust the staff with figuring out with so many pieces)

Fof68 said you all offered a mill and we offered 2
And this is the proper pecking order.

Kentucky does and always will eat first.

Florida is a football school, and hopefully moves like this make Golden question how long he wants to be at Florida (same for Nate Oats).

I hope they both leave the college game and send Alabama and Florida back to obscurity.

The SEC has always been our house, and it's far time that the pecking order was reestablished by making programs like that shine our shoes like they used to.

Pope thinking about dusting off the relentless full court press Pitino used to throw out?

Outside of fouls, that's gotta be the most direct way to impose your will and use your depth, right?

Just never let the opponent breathe or freely think/see the court without some guy(s) in their face

We might have some historically elite depth and length. If any roster could pull it off, next year's team could.
