Ac Reynolds coming into this game looking really good. There veteran team and will want this win..
As for Lions we have to regroup, get better on both sides off ball.
There were some bright spots on offense. We should have both rb playing this week.
Got to do much better on Defense to slow AC down...

We're fine we lost to No.2 tea. In 3a.
Ac ranked in 4a not like we're losing to junk teams,.
We will adjust, they may need this loss to come off big head.
We knew our 4 game stretch was rough one, guess when u on top most time you going get cheap shots..lol

Let's be honest...Shelby can go 1-3 non conference this year and still run the table in 2A.

What will hurt Shelby isn't the actual losses but that other teams will bring it extra bc there's the smell of blood in the water.

We all know Shelby will get the absolute best of a Burns team...but let them roll into that game at 6-3 and Burns will absolutely bring the fire like never before.

That being said...Shelby will be fine...they always figure it out...and they always bounce back second half.

I talked to a former ACR FB player and follower yesterday in Ashville. He said ACR should be much improved this year. In a nice roundabout way I told him they better be to beat Shelby. He was pumped up about KM beating Shelby thinking Shelby is overrated. I told him KM was probably a top 10 team in all of NC and not to expect anything less from Shelby. Kind of busted his bubble lol.

Well said Griz.
Got the feeling there will be a second Shelby vs Burns game in late November that will have much higher stakes that includes a shot at a ring. Can't wait to see that one.

Yeah that KM teams really good ... but what nobody has said is Shelby is a 2 point conversion away from possibly sending that game into overtime. Granted that’s not the best I have seen Shelby look but damn they are NOT chopped liver either!!! Shelby didn’t get blasted off the field guys they just came up a little short ..... like a few feet

Not surprised at all about the ACR shut out. Their defense is really really good. But putting up 37 points is not what I was expecting

West Forsyth was big on both lines, and they are good but not as good as last year. We have improved greatly on both sides, especially on offense but we are still young and green overall on offense. West Forsyth lost a lot on offense to graduation but did return 8 on defense. We have a new OC and his play calling was much better. We need to finish drives on offense, we were inside the 20 three times and penalties forced us to kick FG’s, that can’t happen this week. Trust me we know Shelby is a tall task despite their loss, KM is strong and those of us who truly follow teams and football around the state know a loss to KM isn’t a sign of demise! Even as good as we played I still it will take another performance like that and more to win at Shelby. Our pass defense will need to be on par Friday as it was last Friday because we are going to face a much much better QB this week. I think it will be a battle but not sure we would be favored, I think Shelby is still above us just a bit. Look forward to this one! Look even more forward to the BBQ I’ll be eating in Shelby before the game! 😁😁

Two TD’s for ACR came on a pick 6 and a blocked FG returned for a TD. Offense scored 23 points, 2 TD’s and 3 FG’s, but again we were in red zone 3 times and penalties made us kick FG’s.

Nah, you have that backwards. Other than asking for Reidsville score updates in someone’s “scores thread”, the only time you EVER post is in Shelby threads, hoping Shelby loses, or after Shelby has lost.

Oooner is just a Shelby hater, period. Tarheel is legit. He posts throughout ncpreps, and he’s respectful. He doesn’t even hate Shelby. However, he does have something like the amber alert that goes off in his phone, though, everytime Reidsville is mentioned. You mention “Reidsville”, he’s coming with the fastest of internet connectivity. I can’t blame him for repping and defending the Rams, though.

Not sure about that. We had a big dinner at Denny’s a few weeks back where fans of all the major schools in the East got together. Clinton, Wallace, East Duplin, Northeastern, and many others. Even had a few Reidsville folks show up as special envoys from the West. —It was pretty much unanimous Shelby was going 0-10.

This game just got tougher. 0-2 is a real possibility. It was to begin with anyway, because of the quality of the opponent, but Shelby will be without one of its best players Friday. The source is the young man himself. Just saw the youngin in the barbershop. He’s definitely a no go Friday. Shelby Lion said we could take a lump or two, and he did no cappin’, as these kids would say. Big picture wise, I still think Shelby will be the team to beat in 2A, but this next 3 game stretch could be rough. Friday’s game is going to reveal a lot.
