Wait a minute? The player sexually assaulted someone, player records meetings with the AD, player claims retaliation and the AD gets a bad rap? Do I have my facts straight?

That the coach is (apparantly) still employed there reflects very badly on the AD. You can take the former players claims with a grain of salt, but not the recordings. That what was said on those recordings is known and that HC didn't get fired is inexcusable. That's exactly what Briles was doing.

I don't think you do. I believe what it says is that an unnamed player allegedly assaulted Kaytriauna Flint. Flint was or became friends with Patrick Maddox. Maddox then recorded some team meetings and when he did not believe justice was being obtained for his friend, he released the recordings. Then, according to him, he was harassed and retaliated against by his teammates and staffers.

I'm not seeing where Anderson is deeply involved. It says he made derogatory comments about sexual assault victims, but doesn't provide any quotes. The assaults that they were referring to occurred before Anderson got to Utah State. I'm not saying he's blameless, but maybe not fair to paint him with the same brush as Briles and Baylor.

Since this board is so replete with geniuses that know what an AD is supposed to do and how easy it is to do it, I have to ask: How many SPSers have applied for the job? The pay is good, but you should only expect 50% support from the fanbase.

I would say we should hold an SPS vote, but it would be a 100-way tie for first.

Hartwell was high on my list.

that's a little troubling depending on how much he was involved.

Mack Rhoades is still up there for me too.

So does anybody believe John Currie is still an option?

I did some reading on him yesterday after his name bubbled up here and a lot of people spoke highly of him. I didn't know he was a Wake Forest alum, but as we've seen twice over now, that doesn't necessarily translate to loyalty when that much money is involved.

He was (presumably?) there as the police chief made those comments. He obviously did not object or do anything to alter that policy of sweeping allegations under the rug as much as possible, and even worse directly telling the players that they will do so. That's Briles level IMO.
