Mountain Island shows 509 on ADMs, which would put them above the cut-off, correct?1AA

Well at least we won't have to worry about Mitchell..They just received their death sentenceWorry about TJ. you'll have to get thru them first.
I don't know about that. I'll be pulling for the Dogs, but I think they are weak against the pass. Mitchell, especially at home, might be able to exploit their coverage. They tackle pretty good but from what I've seen they pretty much watch the ball into the receiver's hands, then make their play. I know when we played in Robbinsville, we were successful passing against them and once we spread them out, we could run against them a little.Well at least we won't have to worry about Mitchell..They just received their death sentence
These are wrong - MICS is going to go big with ADM at 509...1AA

Andrews all the way down to 209, Murphy at 470, Hiwassee Dam at 180 and the early college will only grow once they get their own building. You just can't justify dividing money and resources among three traditional high schools in the county anymore with those kind of numbers, only a matter of time.
Not going to get any better for Andrews either I'm afraid, the enrollment will only continue to get smaller with lack of employment opportunities there. I expect Murphy's enrollment to start having some growth again in a few years thanks to the casino but with Andrews enrollment rapidly declining you cant keep those two and Hiwassee Dam all open. Conley's mistake in this last round of consolidation talk was suggesting the eastern high school be in Andrews, you dont cater to the smaller declining population base in such a scenario. It was/is always going to have be in Murphy, Marble or somewhere in between those two or not at all.Andrews has always been small but never this small. 250-300 every fall until last year...a pretty precipitous drop the last two years.
One county wide high school in Murphy would work despite what some people say (there are bigger counties than Cherokee geographically with only one high school) Culberson, Topton, etc. to Murphy is rough but it's not any worse than Unaka and Beaver Dam to Murphy already are in my opinion. Plus Murphy is the geographical and economic center of the county. But I agree that two high schools in the Ranger area and Marble area is what will happen, when it does happen. For it to succeed thered need to be one in Ranger and one in Marble, and the one in Ranger would need to be called Murphy, IMO.
Murphy has somewhat weak pass coverage most years, but as we have seen a good pass rush and a ball hawking group of linebackers and defensive backs (lots of interceptions) largely negate that. I dont think Murphy was that much better in pass coverage when they played Mitchell in 2016 and they picked off Young (who was a better passer than their current QB) multiple times and limited Mitchell's passing game with said pass rush and ball hawking LB's and DB's.
Sorry if it came off as if I was implying your current QB cant pass the ball or isn't a good passer, thats not the case. Granted I haven't seen a lot Pitman but what film I have seen I just got the impression that Young was probably a better a pure passer but it was clear Pitman is definitely the better all around QB. You know your team much better than I do and if you say Pitman is equal to Young as a passer than I defer to you.Noah has a pretty comparable arm to Ben Young, hes not just a running back playing QB, he has been the QB at his age group his whole life, he was just such a special athlete he was put at running back as a freshman and sophomore on varsity instead of being the jv qb. He is very smart with the ball much like Curry was for Murphy, think Noah has 23 TDs to only 1 interception on the season now, that one pick was in the first half of the first game against Erwin. He has a strong arm also as he completed one pass about 55 yards in the air last week. The team 2 years ago did have more receivers to throw to whereas this years team heavily relies on one receiver, thus the reason for not throwing as much this year, that and the fact Noah is a more dynamic runner than Ben so we depend on the run game more. Murphy certainly caused problems for our passing game that year that nobody else did though and a lot of that had to do with the great pass rush.
Mitchell round 3, Thomas Jefferson or Robbinsville round 4 and Pamlico or Northampton in the title game would equate to Murphy playing three top 10-12 1A teams in three weeks. No it isnt North Stanly, Mt Airy and Tarboro but it isnt "easy" either. It's definitely tougher than the small 1A playoffs last year.Looks like Murphy just got the easy road to a title again.
I would like the link to Murphy's 2018-19 school year DPI being 515. That sounds like Murphy's DPI number from the 2017-18 school year of which Murphy's ADM was 510Truly unreal isn't it. I mean you look at the DPI numbers and its around 515 or so. All you can do is laugh. I respect Murphy football, always have, but man how their numbers are reported is something to behold. Happiest man in the state has to be Gentry because he knows 1AA was for second place at best.
Yeah I forgot to add West Montgomery in my spreadsheet. I caught it when I made the bracket.Ive got cutoff between Hobbton and Rosewood, not that it really matters in west

You're still talking about the 2017-18 school year, not the 2018-19 school year. I'm asking for a link that shows Murphy's DPI numbers at any point during the 2018-19 school yearThat was there final number not there first 10 days there first 10 days was 521
