They wonder why ppl question their numbers. Im not going bad mouth them but it does seem odd. Does any other schools fluctuate as much?

You're still talking about the 2017-18 school year, not the 2018-19 school year. I'm asking for a link that shows Murphy's DPI numbers at any point during the 2018-19 school year
They will not release the first months till middle of dec

Once again, those numbers are from the 2017-18 school year, not the 2018-19 school year rville20. You or Griddie show me where Murphy had 515 or 521 during this school year, you can't because they never did.

Exactly, but you have Griddie in here quoting a number from last school year like it's from this year making idiots like rville20 ramp up their moronic theories
It's really pretty simple, you have a graduating 12th grade class of a certain number, and you have an advancing 8th grade class of a certain number into high school. It don't take a collage degree to come to a number that should put murphy in 1AA if they were honest.

Nice cut and past there my friend.
And I understand what both side are saying . High school football is too pure of a game but there has to be a single basis where there are no suggestions and closed door. I know Murphy can beat 97 percent of the teams in the east . And I support my team just as much as y’all do but I know they don’t stand a chance against in the later rounds of aa but there is a chance in a. I just wish if there going to use the Adms use the numbers the dpi use. Another thing gets me is the nchssaa has a weblink that the schools use to send there adjusted numbers early college etc. go on there and look one again you get into a third party putting numbers out it is what it is to they change the format but for this year it is done no need in arguing let’s play ball good luck to the teams in the west and we will see you in a few weeks

Who in the latter rounds of AA would Murphy "not stand a chance against" besides Tarboro? Murphy made it to the western regional finals in 1AA last year and have a better team this year when healthy, definitely better line play and defense. Mt Airy is the favorite in the west but to say Murphy wouldn't stand a chance against them, sorry I don't agree at all.

Guys, I am certainly not a Murphy fan, but geez I'm tired of hearing this. Leopard98, I don't know you or even where you're from. I do know that you quote a lot of numbers as if you are "in the know". I also know that most all Murphy posters have said all along that they had 470-480 students. So in the end, who do you believe? Do you believe the people who live in a community and send their kids to that school, or do you believe someone who crunches numbers? I will go with the people who live there (who are also supported by the reporting agency). Its not as simple as it is here in Robbinsville ... one school, lose a class, gain a class. In Cherokee County, Murphy loses a class, bring in part of a class. Some kids go to the Early College. Some kids, from Martin's Creek, go to Hiwassee Dam instead of Murphy. Then there are the kids that simply leave .... parents move for work or they cross the line to attend Georgia schools like Union and Fannin County. The fact that anyone is still debating or crying about this at this point in the game is ridiculous. The people who report ADMs couldn't give a rat's a-- if Murphy plays 1A or 1AA. All they are worried about is $'s per student.

With all of that being said, I love the bracket that has been posted on here. I truly believe that our sub-bracket is easier than Mitchell's and Murphy's. I think we pretty easily get to the regional finals where we will then have to play Mitchell or Murphy on the road. I think our chances against Mitchell are better than against Murphy just because Murphy knows us better. At the end of the day, if we beat one of them we play for a State Championship. If we lose, then we shouldn't be playing for one. For any of us to be complaining about Murphy or Mitchell going 1A, we would be hypocrites. We would basically be saying that we want the "bigger schools" to be gone so that we can BE the bigger school and win. That's exactly what all of you accuse the other schools of doing. STOP IT and like BK said, someone snap a football and play a game.

AMEN

Not so fast Rville, you may have the Braves in Graham County one more time..... healthy Evans, and a few weeks to regroup..... might take the early bus home 2 years in a row. ???

It don't matter it's murphy's title to loose. Might as well mail the trophy to murphy

Mitchell round 3, Thomas Jefferson or Robbinsville round 4 and Pamlico or Northampton in the title game would equate to Murphy playing three top 10-12 1A teams in three weeks. No it isnt North Stanly, Mt Airy and Tarboro but it isnt "easy" either. It's definitely tougher than the small 1A playoffs last year.
Dern son just let us have 1!!! I know it was easy and garbage but it's ours!!!

There is such a system already in place. The only way to keep a select few from whining is to ban Murphy from playing in any classification lower than 2aa.
nobody has said murphy should play in 2aa or bigger, they should play with Swain and Tarboro. And everybody knows they ain't going to, they would rather play down a classification and steal another kiddy pool title.

None of this discussion about Murphy and Robbinsville is going to matter until Murphy can travel to Mitchell and leave with the win. This seeding system is ridiculous smh.

Thanks for disgracing the titles won by Robbinsville and every other 1A school. Took a lot of pride in all the 1A titles but since it was the smallest 35 or so football playing schools in the state I guess those are “kiddy pool” titles, too.

Sorry but that's cakewalk. All you have to do is beat Mitchell and you win state. Look at the rest of the brackets from 1AA up to 4AA if you want to see though. I give murphy credit cause they find a 2ay to get in small 1a almost every season

Looks like Murphy just got the easy road to a title again . Gentry is a master at this.
