I want to congratulate AHS football on their win tonight. I have been extremely tough on my guys this year but I want you all to know that I love and will always support my Bulldogs. At times I forget that they are high school kids and coaches that are getting paid peanuts and crackers to make this all happen. I am so proud that they have not given up and continue to work hard and seem to have a great spirit week after week and loss after loss. I was definitely not a Jim Mason fan and he still has a lot to prove, however by the way our kids acted tonight, he has to be doing "something" right. And when I say "something", sometimes that means more than the wins or losses. Thank you Coach Mason for bringing our guys to appreciate being a Bulldog and getting a win with a team that quite frankly, I didn't think winning a game was possible. I hope you and the staff are up for the challenge for the next three or four years, because I expect a lot of wins. I will go to sleep tonight a happy woman. Thank you Bulldogs.

Hope you cleaned out your underwear after saying what you did and putting down your own team as you have. . Have faith in your school and stop putting them down. It is not my school and I see a future for them more than you do. You are only looking for attention for yourself ! ! Congrats to Albemarle on your win tonight, no thanks to susancoleman ! ! I never retract anything I have said. A blowout loss to CC is completely embarrassing. And in my opinion, there is no excuse. I still wonder why you care so much about my team when you aren't a NS fan.
You do not understand what a true fan to a team is. Do you stand up for your family ( Mom ,Dad, Brothers & Sisters) for better or worse. Then you are no part of the Albemarle family and only a disgrace to Albemarle. You should back them through good times and bad and if not you are a disgrace to the Albemarle family. Grow up ! ! ! The school should turn their back on you ........
Did you read the original post? I do support my team. It is just hard to watch us play so bad. Whatever team you are affiliated with, I am sure you wouldn't understand the success we have had at AHS for the past 25 years. But yes, there is a high standard for AHS football. And there always will be.

Perhaps a Southern gentleman that'll toss his wearing apparel into the giant mudhole caused by an excessive amount of precipitation, making the trek through the water more bearable slash enjoyable, Ms. Coleman , as to keep your newly purchased footwear void of moisture, would be more intrinsically enjoyable than the annoying comments some of these " gentlemen " are slangin' around toward you. After reaching the other side of the mudhole, I might remark, after briefly dispersing some of the mud particles that had stuck to my velour type coat, perhaps then I would ask you if you desired the next dance and or the last corner of stump likker , or perhaps some hot, green tea.

I mean no disrespect to you. You just need to chill out and realize all teams can have a few down years but with a great football history they most always come back to their better days. If they have no support from their fans it may take longer.You seem to be the worst one to criticise your team.

It is really amazing the new group of fans that AHS has accumulated over the years. Some work for the school and some work by the school. I work and support both. At AHS for the last 25 years or so
I believe in what we are doing. I saw this first hand tonight. We have gotten better. Right now we are not getting the job done as a team. I challenge Coach Mason and staff to stick around and give us wins. I think they can do this but we will see. I am a hard woman to please.
You are not the one to be pleased,it is the team that you need to please with your 100% support minus your putting them down. Listen to the ones trying to tell you and quit being so bull headed. Be a die hard fan ,win or lose.
If I weren't a die hard fan,I wouldn't care at 3am and write on a message board. I love all AHS teams past and present. I have always shared my opinion and from my years of AHS support I have always been with the majority. I graduated over 30 years ago from AHS and have kids who have graduated. My grandkids will soon be graduates, but unfortunately not at AHS. I would literally die for this school and have been fighting for it for the past few years. I have more connections and relationships in the AHS community that most will ever comprehend. You can question many things about myself but loyalty is not one.
So you graduated around 1986. I graduated in 1968 and have never put my team down like you have and we have had our ups and downs and my support was always there in our down years as a true fan should do. I never put mine down as you have . You are selfish thinking only of yourself and not the good of your team. Going to bed as I have to get up for work at 5:45. Just trying to talk some sense into your head but you seem to only like your team if they are winning and cut them down when losing. It just looks like We hate on the Team sometimes and We Question a few things. No respect lost here Susan. I know how You feel after some of the losses this year.
Get off susan's case, FridayNite. We all say things we regret at times. susan started a very gracious thread and admitted that she has been overly critical. Nobody deserves to be judged by their worst moments.
Congrats to you Albemarle fans. You guys were sandbagging on this one with all that talk of South Davidson being better than Chatham and beating your JV's last year. Totally wrecked my pick'em this week!...lol

FridayNightLights is passionate at times overly so. I respect his post, but he does get butthurt and into his feelings a lil too much for a highschool sports website. Especially, by jumping into a post about teams that have nothing to do with the team he actually supports. Now thats crazy.

As to the team I saw last night. Being my first game what I saw among other things is "Yes We Have A Kicker" 2 listed on the roster but I am assuming that Christian Cisneros is the kicker I saw. He split the uprights on ever extra point attempt. He is a soph and looks to have a bright future. Where did this kid come from???????

Susan is an ok gal and I over done it last night hope to see her support the team she loves. I guess I can get to some people more so than others. I was like a zombie after midnight and took it to far. She was very respectful and never put me down. I was so worn out and sleepy but could not go to sleep.I hope she can accept my apology . I have been on the receiving end of being put down before also. You seem to be very nice and I guess I wanted to talk and you was there and talked back without a personal attack on me and I should kept it more civil . Again I apologize for taking it to far. Thanks for your respect and understanding . I did apologize to Susan. I don't usually jump into another conferences discussions . Any conflict that I have ever been a part of was within the Northwest Conference.

I think Mount Airy and Albemarle have always had respect for each other. I hope to see the day when we can meet again on the football field.

The past two years there have been 3 plus wins only in the playoffs. I guess it will come down to the different regionals and selections. But the short answer is no.
It is possible. 64 teams go out of around 75 schools. Schools opt out and some may be DQ'ed for fighting.
