Alabama wins passing the ball....

Alabama will open the game passing the ball first and running second. Look at what they did to LSU in January, against a much stronger secondary than ours. They passed to set up for the pounding in the second half, and of course great defense. All of this loading the box to start the game is "malarkey" in my opinion. We have a strong secondary, but we are weak up the middle and covering in the flats. Our linebackers need to drop deeper and get in the flats faster. Alabama will use their TE and Running backs to exploit this weakness. They will use their WR on short to intermediate crossing patterns. They know we are strong on the outside and deep. We do need to man up, but we need to disquise it better, we also need to do some zone blitz disquised as man. If we can slow this initial pass strategy, then we have to get ready for the pounding. Alabama can spread the field, and I think they will start in order to loosen up our run defense. I think the Alabama offense in the first half and the second half will be polar opposites.

All of the coaches and experts feel free to comment.

yup, you are dead on, my friend... we did it to Michigan, as well.

we are pass heavy (for us) in the 1st halves of games... the balanced attack gets us a lead then we just lean on the defensive front 7 til we "make their *** quit"....

Somewhat different opinion. I think they run it down our throats (unless the DL grows up a lot this week) then they pick on somebody like Love or the LB's and throw for the scores.

I disagree. I think play 1 is an off tackle or counter to test our below average looking DEs (vs. the run). If they bust it into the second or third level, then they will run it down our throats for awhile. if we show we can stop it, then your strategy comes next.

If they want to challenge our TWO interception-leading in the SEC cornerbacks, I am all for it. Banks is due for a pick-6 this year anyway. Much rather play a passing Alabama than a rushing one.

I don't think we'd want to "challenge" yall's corners...

especially if we don't need to... there's too much to risk, given the options...

I don't think, however, we will change a lot of what we do...

I'd like to see something along this line for AJ: 15-26-225, 1-2 TDS, no INTs, 1 chest tat removal... that, with an average run performance should be enough.

Pretty sure Mullen is going to take away the pass from Saban. Can Saban stay disciplined enough to just run it? I don't think he can.

Well then, I'd like to see this from Russell, 33-33, 450 yards, 6 TDs to 6 different WRs. As long as we are making requests, we may as well go all out right? For all you sarcasm impaired folks, I submit the following:***************************

Actually, the decision has already been made. Through my premium membership in both the PsychoPhant Club and The Illuminati, I have learned that Mike (He told me I can call him "mike") is really uncomfortable with the narrow difference in talent between the two programs and has specially selected officials to insure victory to protect Alabama, the SEC and, indirectly, its welfare babies.
