My take on this game...Both teams have been up and down all season...This game has playoff implications for Albenarlre.. We really need a win. .Hope both teams are healty.

My take on Albemarles season to date..Yes we all had high hopes and the season was defined by a 3 point loss to NR..A game we had won and gave away in the last 3 mins...Played our best game of the year in the one...Our weak point all year was the offensive line. No back ups..If one went down we struggled on offensive... Only game we got blown out was against MIC.....Lots of speed but you need to get them in space to be effective...To finish the season we need 2 wins to get in playoffs...Maybe 1....All in all a season that high hopes but somewhat disappointing....The losses to NR and NS really hurt.. It may be 2 years before we rebound ...All depends on how fast the middle school can help us..We lose a lot this year....JMO...
Albemarle is the much better team. Cooke is a heck of a player but Bulldogs are two tds better at least. Bulls have way too many going both ways
West middle was undefeated three years ago. They are undefeated now. No direct comparison...just an observation. Most of their skill players have stuck with their program.
I think to have the middle school results mirror the varsity results three years later, you have to have continuity in players and eligibility. The fact that kids in Stanly can go wherever their parents think they will be best suited athletically is the main reason you can't really compare middle and high school results.

Terrible news for West. However they still cant be taken lightly. They have some other kids that can play.
IF and this is a big IF... If AHS can somewhat contain Cooke's scrambling they will win by 9-14 points. If they cannot contain Cooke the game will be on the shoulders of Albemarle's offense which shows up for 30% of the games they play. Albemarle should just hope the offense shows up the defense for all the times the defense has done so for them.
Big win last night for the Bulldogs. After a slow start and a few questionable calls the Bulldogs offense rolled behind the running of Julius Smith who had four touchdowns on the ground. The defense also played well keeping Cook contained as well as could be expected but he is a very good player.
