Really hope AHS can win the last two. Need to end the season on a positive note. I feel for the kids given all the uncertainty around the program and the negative talk about the admin and school board. They've had to deal with all that, plus yet another coaching staff, while being unfairly compared to teams from the past.
Do not know if AHS can return to its glory years - maybe things have changed too much for that to be possible - but I will continue to support the kids and their families. As long as they're getting a good education, that's all that matters.

Coach Smith doesn't realize how much he is holding this team back. Give those kids the old offense back and win a couple more games this season. WHAT CAN IT HURT?
We had a Albemarle coach at North Stanly for 2 years and went 0-22 those 2 years..It takes awhile to implement a system and in the mean time you have to have a little bit of patience.He might have went from a middle school coach to a high school coach but in middle school noone of his teams lost a single game.

I dont know what he ran at North but I do know with talent back then he had 2 succesful seasons and that was in one of the toughest 2A conferences

I do agree since he came in so late..run something simple until you have time to get to know the kids and what there capable of
Sway, you are the best fan whoever we are playing has. Has it ever crossed your mind that the players read these boards too? Granted, this season is the pits, but how about more support for the kids who are suffering through this nightmare and still showing up and working hard every day, and less slander and poison toward the coaches and the school board. All you are doing with this vitriole is saying to the kids "it's OK to make excuses and point the finger elsewhere."
With respect to You, I'll put the blame a little higher. The State gives money to each County. The money has to be put into a budget. When the budget says We will spend 50,000 dollars on 4 high Schools then the least will go to the smallest enrollment School in the County
I have to agree with you on this new dawg. A lot of players do read these boards but I hope they understand that a lot of the comments on this board come from people who never played high school football and are just their opinions and that's all they are. Hopefully Albemarle can win these last two games and go into the playoffs on a positive note.
Someone needs to educate Sway that Dr Griffin is not in an elected position. Twice he's said she would get voted out.
Sleeh, you were right. South was much, much improved. The kids played really hard too. Pair that with a good JV team coming up, things are looking good for you guys exsshs.
Not giving up on the kids, I give up on the coaching, this week will be hard to win. No matter how hard you practice these kids, if the game plan sucks you still have a chance to lose. I hope Coach Smith reads these!! If you change this offense back to the old offense I think you will see these kids get extremely excited!!
Yes but those two years you didn't anywhere near the talent North has this year. I don't know if Nick Saben could have won with those teams.
