Oooooohmmm...... looks like we have to win out ... and don't forget no huge blowouts ( does 3 TDs at home qualify as a blowout??)

Didn't respond to his point...what happened to your 9 wins no blowouts talk??bo bo's record vs wisconson:
17 - 48
14 - 7
24 - 59
You aren't the only one who grew up watching Nebraska football.I guess Im looking at the big picture, I grew up watching NU football during the 70's 80's and 90's. and I don't remember firing the coach every other year. in fact one big plus is we had a lot of coaches with decades of experience. so when we would play another team, all of milt's and dan young boys knew who they were going to block. mcbride had a good clue of who need to do what also. It also seemed like Dr. Tom had a lil system going himself. this experience seemed to pay off.
we have had 3 coaches since Dr. Tom left and kept them an average of lets say 4 years. how has this panned out for us?
where do we find ourself today?
is this high coaching turnover a wise thing?
the results I have seen suggest not.
I have no problem with real NU fans being upset. what I do have a problem with is knee jerk reactions that will leave NU going thru coach after coach without them building anything.
we gave spaz bo like 7 years, and now we want to can riley after not even 2 and a half years? this seems questionable to me.
expecially when riley is probably trying to do the hardest thing possible, building a pure passing offense at Nebraska.

And you are the one who posted the “no blowouts” metric not to mention the 9 wins
No, seriously answer the damn question or quit lying and pretending everyone upset is upset because they expect national titles. It's pure BS (and proves you're wrong because you can't debate based on actual facts, have to make up stuff about your opponent...typical liberal.)see above:
see above:You aren't the only one who grew up watching Nebraska football.
You remember we didn't always fire coaches.
I don't remember us ever sucking this much *** either and failing expectations this much. Osborne did t come close to this. It's not the same thing.
Yes we gave bo too many years...you're point?
Seeing above your bs is kinda hard, it's piled so high.see above:
fine, fire riley and bring in the next musical chair coachesSeeing above your bs is kinda hard, it's piled so high.
Point out where I said fire Riley.fine, fire riley and bring in the next musical chair coaches

And answer the question. How does it equal that those calling for Riley to be fired after the particulars of this season are expecting 1995 or 13-0?
I'm sure you'll just dump more bs on your pile instead of answering.
feel free to post this thread so we may read it in context, grazi in advancehmmm...... looks like we have to win out ... and don't forget no huge blowouts ( does 3 TDs at home qualify as a blowout??)
So every fan upset and wanting Riley gone is expecting 1995 this year o pr 13-0, correct?https://nebraska.forums.rivals.com/threads/scott-frost.187595/

If you were seeing the big picture you would see that no coach at Nebraska has had 2 non winning seasons in any 3 year time span in damn near 50 years. Riley is at serious risk of accomplishing something that hasn’t occurred at Nebraska in nearly a half a century. Please don’t lecture us about the big picture. All this talk about unrealistic expectations is a joke. The vast majority, including myself, support bringing him back if he wins 7 games. Expectations have been nuked and he is still at serious risk of coming in below them
besides adhoms can your brain offer some kind of post of substance? So every fan upset and wanting Riley gone is expecting 1995 this year o pr 13-0, correct?
What a loser *** response. You ain't helpin your case
Keep misdirecting and ignoring the question. Everyone can see what you are.besides adhoms can your brain offer some kind of post of substance?
calm yourself jr.Keep misdirecting and ignoring the question. Everyone can see what you are.
YOU posted it, YOU back it up. But you can't, because it's a lie.
No. You lie about people then don'tcalm yourself jr.
considering the state bo left the program in. I think riley has done well, I suggest you read the book , more than winning. a old football coach wrote it and no it wasn't nicky saben

"Athletic Director Steve Pederson"By any chance was that book authored by the same person quoted below ???
"The parameters, I think, were fairly clearly spelled out, " Osborne said Saturday.
Nebraska was 4-4 when Osborne met with Nebraska coaches a week after replacing fired Athletic Director Steve Pederson. The staff wanted to know some benchmarks as far as what they had to do.
Osborne said go 4-0 and get to 8-4 and things would be fine. Play well, win three of four, get to 7-5 and — although no guarantees — maybe it could still work.
Then came the bottom line in a cold business.
"If it's two out of four, " Osborne told them, "it's going to be pretty tough, because now you're breaking even (6-6) and we haven't had many break-even seasons around here. And I said if we have a losing season, I don't think there's any way that this will work."

You don't remember Frank's 7-7 year. Now that was fine football.....LaughingI don't remember us ever sucking this much *** either and failing expectations this much.

I'll agree it hasn't always been pretty. We haven't put together 4 quarters of good football in any of our games yet. We got to 2-1/2 against Wisconsin and had a half against Oregon. Maybe we finally put 4 together in one game against OSU?This is too....Laughing

Yes, Solich a lifelong Husker with three national champion rings couldn't survive 7 wins. You don't remember Frank's 7-7 year. Now that was fine football.....Laughing

This post is a very telling sign of what this program has come too. Expectations are not too high for many fans right they are too low. We just suffered one of the worst home defeats in the last ten years and the half the fan base doesn't seem to mindI'll agree it hasn't always been pretty. We haven't put together 4 quarters of good football in any of our games yet. We got to 2-1/2 against Wisconsin and had a half against Oregon. Maybe we finally put 4 together in one game against OSU?
Maybe that sums it up right there. If building a pure passing offense at Nebraska is the hardest thing possible.......why would he attempt it? It certainly hasn't ever proved to be the BEST thing. He doesn't need to impress this fan base by doing the hardest thing possible badly. He needs to do the best thing well.I guess Im looking at the big picture, I grew up watching NU football during the 70's 80's and 90's. and I don't remember firing the coach every other year. in fact one big plus is we had a lot of coaches with decades of experience. so when we would play another team, all of milt's and dan young boys knew who they were going to block. mcbride had a good clue of who need to do what also. Hey, at least no one has started something silly like, RiLLLey.
You are forgetting onebo bo's record vs wisconson:
17 - 48
14 - 7
24 - 59
Bo left the program on a string of seven seasons with at least 9 wins.
So doing worse two out of three years is doing well.
Wow
"Athletic Director Steve Pederson"
that was before bo left the program in shambles.

Sooo....year three. And we are now just HOPING that MR can somehow get his team prepared enough to play 4 good quarters of football to keep the game respectable. Gotcha.
As I have said numerous times, nobody would be happier than I to see MR run the table. If he can't, I'd prefer to take our chances with someone else. 64.....and back to 2007 sucks.
He should have given him another two or three years to run the program in the ground.
