Yes they were a amazing group and to say i played little league football with those guys
I did pick Altavista to win myself but I don't think it will be a blowout either. Sussex is a very good team and I don't think they are overrated. I do think Altavista is underrated though. But if our prediction does come true then Riverheads will host next week if they beat Colonial Beach
How many fans would you guys guess will travel from CB this week? Just curious as I have noticed smaller crowds follow some of the east teams unless they are home.
Hard to say honestly. They are a tight knit little community and this is pretty big for them. Not sure how many of them traveled to Buffalo Gap when they played in 07 but I remember when they won the state title in basketball in 08 that the head coach said in an interview that the only people left in town that day was the police chief and a stray dog. Lol. Typically teams out East don't travel well but maybe the Beach fans will bring a respectable crowd on Friday

Sadly Essex doesn't even have many when it's a home game unless it's homecoming or they're playing King William. Sad that with all the success they've had they really don't get much support. King William probably gets the most fan support of any school in this area but even that fails in comparison to what the schools out West get

I don't believe anyone from the red team is making any plans yet as there is a good CB team that is coming to town on Friday. Looking ahead this time of year will have you looking at someone else playing the following week.
Dude trust me this game wont be close unless riverheads let it be close I just don't see CB defense making any stops and riverheads offense will score on every possession time of possession will hurt CB RHS 42 CB 18
Don't mistake my statement as not being confident. I just think it's a fools gamble to dismiss a team that has made it to the quarter finals. Regardless of opinion, they are playing on Thanksgiving weekend which means they are a quality team in their own rights.
Back to the game this post is about. I have seen a good many people picking blowout scores in the Sussex/Altavista game and I just don't see it. I haven't seen either in person but both have been impressive at times. I look for at least one surprise game in this round and this or GW/PM is where most people are pointing. It could go just as some have predicted and be a complete blowout. Friday by about 9:30 we should know so good luck to both.

While I do believe this will be a good game. I don't see it being a blowout. 2016 Altavista may not be 2014 Altavista but they are a top notch team in there own right. Looking past them at this point would be a costly mistake. Sussex has proven they are were they should be while other teams have proven they were better then they seeded. I think Sussex wins this one by playing solid D and wearing Altavista down by putting pressure on were it counts.
