Okay so a friend of mine who's an Ole Miss fan texted me this morning and asked if Jones was flipping. Immediate reaction was no. They have Daniels committed and in the lead for Nkemdiche so why would he consider going there. He then sent me this http://www.secrant.com/rant/p/39363242/Get-ready-for-Chris-Jones-to-flip-to-Ole-Miss.aspx and basically it was a screen shot from a Treadwell Instagram conversation which has since been removed. After treadwell posted that he then retweeted these

@Smoke3x: “@FOX40Recek: Kailo Moore says he plans to help recruit other guys to Ole Miss, mentioned trying to get Chris Jones to flip from MSU”lol

@thereal_ld14: How awesome would it be if Chris Jones changed his commitment to Ole Miss!

I guess after seeing the Ole Miss assistants talking to his mom at the hospital and walking her out has me on edge.

Can you elaborate on the hospital encounter? You threw that in at the end of the post like a random hand grenade.

As to the Instagram, I don't think they can flip jones.

If you want to participate and help MSU in recruiting, you should stop posting about the possibility of our recruits flipping.

The instagram you referenced was posted here by an insomniac overnight. Not sure if it's still there. The Bears must have an organized effort going, complete with assignments to cover 24/7, to post things for the purpose of causing paranoia for MSU fans, and it works in some cases.

Sorry I posted last week about the coaches visiting his mom at the hospital I work at. It was a couple of guys dressed in Ole Miss polos and they went to talk to her. Stayed around for a little while then they walked her out of the building.

Ah gotcha. I rely on sixpackspeak for a majority of information since I don't pay for any recruiting info. Thanks for getting me straight. Think I'll read more post less haha.

Well, all you really need to know is that they're still actively recruiting him and trying to get him in for a visit this next weekend.

There's always a slight chance when someone is getting recruited so heavily, especially when OM is involved and they're only an hour away from his house and they can pay a lot of attention to him because of that. Since it's so close it's easy for their coaches to stop by and talk to Chris, Momma, or Daddy. (OM coaches were at a Houston bball practice just last week)

But it's extremely unlikely that will outweigh the longstanding relationship he's built w/ the MSU coaching staff and extended MSU family, not to mention those he would disappoint in Houston if he flipped.

It was posted by me, and I don't know why we can't discuss legitimate things on here anymore. The pic was taken from Treadwell's own Instagram, not some OM fans.

I don't either but I will say that it is hard to discuss anything that leans toward bad news here without 15-20 guys completely freaking out, and the Bears copying and pasting those freakouts all over the place.

And I do think we discuss lots of legitimate things but a random instagram of unverified people isn't really legit. That's like DeMarcus Cousins claiming all those racists texts that he could never produce. All he had to do was get it out there and then let people's reactions hang themselves.

I hope it's not Jones, but I've gotten to the point where I hope they land every big time 5 star they're after. Feel like only way they'll ever get caught is if they make that big of splash. If I was the NCAA, I'd have some probes in Oxford this weekend around the hotel and Library. Sketchy stuff will be going down.

Actually, it seems to work in most cases. We set up the Mayan calendar, way before our charter, and we have an assassin talking up a grassy knoll somewhere in Texas. What's that? 50 years too late? Must've been someone else there that day then.

Yeah, because why would he post the screen shot of a text and out the guy. Then he would have lost trust with a future teammate. It has since been taken down, so whoever it is obviously didn't even like the cropped version up.
