Now, I have no idea if his HS coaches are in his ear about LSU, but considering that is the case with about 90% of the LA recruits, its a fairly safe bet.If they really were looking out for the kid they would steer him to MSU due to the offense fitting his talents. Its my understanding that Dak is a run first QB, that has a good arm. That is what Mullen's offense needs. LSU's offense requires a more traditional drop back passer.
Why these coaches don't actually try to help these kids go to programs that fit their talents is beyond me. The only rational reason to steer him to LSU is if he wants to live in LA after he graduates. Then it makes sense to go to LSU to have thousands of LSU almuni eager to help you out once you graduate. I've said the same thing about kids that live in MS. If you don't make it to the pros and you want to live in MS, what do you think is going to open more doors for you, having played for Tennessee or having played at MSU or Ole Miss. Its a no brainer.
